Take it out and turn it upside down outside and go from there. At the edge of the counter underneath should be 2 screws that fasten it to the counter

Sounds like the wash motor bearings are seizing. They may have rusted up.

Error message e21. Bosch dishwasher

My mom had the same issue with her fancy bosch dishwasher! It ended up being a hose, if I remember correctly. Her problem also took two repair trips, I know for sure it was not a new motor issue. I would have someone check the hoses and the electrical panel.

Will replacement motor 266520 fit SGS53E72EU/71 Bosch dishwasher

The motor for that model is 489652, I think you'll find that the two middle tags on the original motor are linked and one of the original wires has a smaller spade connector so can only go on a specific connection. As for the cap can you use the coupling from the old one?? What are the symptoms to need to replace motor?

Hi, welcome to Fixya. By the description you've provided, it sound's like the wash motor is either seized or just stuck, let's hope it's the later. Bosch had issued a service tip about this problem several years ago titled "Loosening Frozen Impellers" strange choice of word's considering nothing is froze..at least you'd hope lol. Essentially what it say's is this...Remove the pump filter ( inside the tub under the bottom rack ) locate the hole to your right down in the sump well, you should be able to see it with a flashlight so it's a well lit area. Once you've located this hole ( it's providing access to the wash impeller without pulling the unit from the cabinet ) reach in with a 8mm nut driver and locate the end of the impeller and turn it clock-wise until it feel's to turn freely. Give it a test perhaps in a rinse cycle before you put all the filter and screen back together. It should be fine unless the motor is seized, we'll cross that bridge when we get to it, try the repair tip for now. Let me know how that help's and/or if you need further assistance. Thank's for visiting "fixya" for you repair tip's. If this is indeed helpful please rate the solution accordingly, if not let me know. Thanks again and good luck. Macmarkus :)

Bosch Dishwasher model SHU66C soap door will not open

This is most likely the actuator for the soap door. Unplug and remove door covers to find it, and check it is not seized. Look at "wax motor" online to understand working, as they often use these (and may appear siezed - when actually ok)
Check cables are not broken and connectors not corroded.
Replace actuator if you are uncertain, and try again.
Further problems may be the contact to control it in the controller assembly or a broken cable between the two.

My Bosch dishwasher(model # she44c02uc/43) extended wash/no drain

Hi,

The issue with your Bosch dishwasher likely lye`s within`the electronic timer/control. A faulty flow switch, ntc or heater can also cause this, but not very probable.

If you feel capable there`s a way to visually inspect the control. It will require you to remove the control from the unit and then remove the control from it`s plastic housing and look for a burnt solder contact on the printed circuit board. This will be one of the pins from the heater relay, hence the unit sit`s at "1" ( because it can`t heat to advance or until canceled ) trying to heat the water.

**Further to this, if you or someone you know is proficient at soldering, a lot of times it can be remedied by simply repairing the solder...although Bosch recommend`s replacing the control and I don`t pretend to speak on there behalf nor do I profess to know better. This is just my experience (it work`s) and my opinion (why buy new if one can repair ?)**

**Please disconnect the power before attempting any service to the dishwasher. If you do not feel comfortable attempting this service, call a local pro, preferably one familiar with Bosch/Thermador/Gaggenau, to service your machine.**

Hope this answer`s your question, let me know if I can assist you further. Thank`s for visiting "fixya" for your repair inquiries. Please take a moment and rate this solution and leave a testimony to it`s success or failure, but I`m 99.9% certain ;)

Good luck.

macmarkus :)

Water will not drain. Do not know if its a drain

Drain out is done via the pump out motor. Is the pump out motor working? Check by deternining with a AC voltmeter to see if supply voltage is across the terminals in pump out mode. If voltage is present and motor does not spin - the motor is open circuit and must be replaced. Remove the 2 clamps and the 2 electrical push on terminals with the MAINS voltage disconnected. Is the outlet pipe not blocked or obstructed ?

Takes in water, but does not perform wash or rinse cycle

If DW is older model (>6yrs) remove toe panel and see if motor (in center of unit) is large and black. If large and black, look for signs of leaking (water stains below motor or rusting on motor) If all confirmed, the motor has seized and will need replacing. Motor/pump assembly about $125.00
