Yard Machines 25b-520c000 9-inch 148cc Briggs Stratton 450 Series Gas Cant pull start it. Its really hard taken off the housing and everything looks to be alright but wont spin freely if i use both and...

if I am reading this right it turns over by hand but not when you pull it? if it pulls but jerks the rope out of your hand then check the flywheel key. if it won't pull at all then I would venture to say you have an obstruction in the recoil that needs to be found

Is model460 148cc engine 2stroke or 4stroke

4 stroke. Is there a dipstick on the engine? check the oil level. If there is a dip stick it is a 4 stroke and no gas -oil mix is needed. Mostly 2 cycle are for weed trimmers etc where weight needs to be light and where an engine will be used in all positions vertical, horizontal etc. usually a smaller type engine say like 30-50 cc.

Ifound a Tecumseh Yard Machine Front Tine Tiller. It has a 5.50 HP. The tiller seems to choke out every time i crank it up. Can Someone tell mewhere the fuel filter is located???? i have replaced the air...

It sounds as if you still have Carburetor problems.

Use a Den Tek Brush, (http://www.drugstore.com/products/prod.asp?pid=165357&catid=1152), to clean the small portals in carb. These portals can become blocked.
(If there is a small screen in the Carb., this can get blocked too. Make sure that it is clean as well.)

Reassemble and start. (If there is a small screen in the Carb., this can get blocked too. Make sure that it is clean as well.)

If the carb. parts are more than 4 years old, you may have to replace them.

If you need further assistance on:
1. Fuel line replacement or
2. Carburetor kit replacement

Just let me know.

Yard Machines rototiller front tine- having problems starting

Sounds like you are either losing your "prime" or your carb needs either, cleaning, rebuilding with a kit. Probably a cleaning will do it. Watch U Tube there are wonderful people who film the whole process from tear down, to replacement. Com'on! Get into it its easy and it don't take long. Then you'll always know how to do it!

On my tecumseh tiller the rope broke and the setup has rivets instead of screws is there another way to get it off without removing the rivets?

I'm guessing you have a 3.5 or 4HP 4 stroke with the recoil built into the top of the housing? If so, just remove the entire blower housing. It's only 4 bolts. You can then disassemble the recoil assembly to replace the rope.
