My hewlett packard windows xp media center edition 2005 computer does not do anything when i connect a usb cord to it

Hello,

Does it work with a USB flash drive or hard drive? If not with all of those, then go to the device manager.

Right Click on Computer. Click on Manage. Click on Device Manager.

Right click on the USB driver and uninstall it. Restart your computer.

Update the drivers. You can use RadarSync.

Check if it works. If not, then comment below and I will get back to you as soon as I can.

USB External Hard Drive, MP3 and Flash Drive issues

This is one of those common things that happens to a lot of people on a daily basis. You plug your flash drive, MP3 or external HD and it won't show up in "My Computer" or you need to "format the drive" before it can be used, but you need the data. Now what?

Before you do anything, let's see if your computer needs updates. Sometimes this can be the problem. Go ahead and do it now.

Checked to see if there is a new driver for your device. As there is way too many products out there, you will need to do a search yourself for the appropriate drivers. You can do a search for the manufacturer and model. Example "Kingston 67tg" or "Kingston 98td".

If you haven't done a virus scan in a while, do that now.

Try plugging device into another slot.

If your device isn't showing up after that:

1. Click "Start, "Run", then type in "compmgmt.msc" without quotations, then click on "OK".

2. A window will pop up. Look on the left and down a bit. See "Disk Management"? Go ahead and click on that.

3. Take a look and see if you can find your inactive drive.

4. Once you found it, right-click and choose "Change Drive Letter and Paths", then "Add", then "Assign the following drive letter", accept the letter that this chooses for you and then click "OK".

If for some reason you get an error and you're unable to select your drive in Disk Management, there's another road we can take.

1. Click "Start", "Control Panel", "System and Maintenance", "System", then "Device Manager".

2. From here click on "Disk Drives" and look for your "USB Device". Make SURE you know it's your external HD or USB device.

3. Right-click on appropriate device and choose "Uninstall" then "OK".

4. Restart your machine with the device still plugged in and Windows will load the appropriate drivers. If your device came with a disc you can install the drivers now.

One solution that worked for me was to create a new user profile.
When I plugged my flash drive in with the other profile, it came up right away! Telling me that a program was conflicting with my drive.
It turned out to be Daemon Tools. For you it might be a different program.

If nothing works, the device may be damaged or the data is corrupt.
Sorry to say, but it happens to the best of us.
Hopefully you can take the device back to where you bought it from, or take advantage of the warranty.

Hope this helped you out!

Is there a driver for tascam dp-01 for windows7 operating system

Unfortunately no such driver is available, because tascam have discontinued that particular model.

Here is a way to get your recordings off the device

On the Tascam main menu, select "Wave." 2) On the Wave menu, select "Export Master." This saves your mastered song to the correct folder. 3) Connect the Tascam DP-01 to your computer. You will get a message telling you your USB device has malfunctioned. 4) On the Tascam menu, select "Disk." 5) On the Disk menu, select "USB OPN/CLS." Your computer should detect the DP-01 as a hard drive & be visible in "My Computer" on Windows.

When I plug in my JFV30 my computer does not pick it up, why and how do i fix this. I am using windows 7

First, unplug the drive. Then download the drivers for that particular flash drive here: http://driverscollection.com/?file_cid=39278936334676929bc3679940f
Once those drivers are downloaded and installed, restart your computer and plug in the flash drive. With any luck it should be working.

Where download drivers for newsmy m50 for windows xp

Being an android PMP device it should not need any drivers for Windows XP, Vista or 7. Simply plug it in via the USB cable and your device will show up as a drive letter in My Computer.
If that is not happening, I would check the Device Manager (Start - Run - "compmgmt.msc" and press enter - then click on Device Manager on the left hierarchy) to see if it is showing up under Disk Drives on the right. If it is not, it should be showing up under Other Devices, which you can right-click on and tell it to "Update Driver Software" and check online for drivers. If it's not showing up at all, check your USB cable.
Hope this helps!

I cant find the pictures i took with the camera when i put the usb cable

go to the Computer directory and look for the drive letter assigned to the USB device/camera. If none is showing up, you may need to install/reinstall the driver for the data cable of the camera and the software for it to allow you to easily copy/transfer files from it to your computer. In some cases, you may need to unplug and plug the USB cable again

Ps2 port doesn't recognize Microsoft Optical mouse

You might think about a USB hub for all your USB devices. ps2 port is more or less dedicated for mouse, which is why your mouse pointer is stuck in the middle of the screen. Go ahead and get an externally powered USB Hub to power other USB devices. To answer, ps2 for mouse needs just a mouse, not USB device.

USB works under BIOS, doesn't plug'n'play under WinXP

Seems u r having plug and play problem.
When the second problem appeared? after the upgrade?
Some weird things like this, exists with SP3.
Does Windows ask u to install them?
Check whether the PnP is enabled from the BIOS.
U can try installing your chipset driver (Update).
Go to action menu and Click on Show Hidden Devices. Go to Hidden devices and check whether there are entries related to usb with yellow marks. Parport,Mountmgr (non PnP). etc. Check whether you have any Viruses.
Important :
Check whether these services are functioning properly.
Go to Device Manager
Click On - Services
Plug and Play (Automatic-Normally) Service
and Such services as PLFlashDeviceIoControl Service, Portable Media Serial Number Service, Windows Management Instrumentation (Set to Automatic) and Windows Management Instrumentation Driver Extensions (Start it). They are the people who are responsible and caused these errors. Double Click an set each one's Recovery options.
Then go to Event Viewer and check System (ans Application) for specific erroneous entries.

Did u do a system restore. Anyway if you have upgraded u can't of cause. U could try that. Check whether ur usb root hubs are functioning. U have to upgrade drives for XPSP3. There are many compatibility issues.
Try the latest chipset drive.

Try removing these.
Then reboot and check.

If this solution works or helped you, please kindly RATE the answer.
Wish you luck!

Thanks.
