Turns off and then powers on-I hear the click as its preparing to show picture and count 20 blinks of standby light. Any suggestions? Thanks
Continous blinks of standby light to Sony TVs denotes a fault with its IIC bus line. Might be a short. Visit this site for more details. Blinking codes to many brand TVs are described in detail. Pull up older posts.

The HOT transistor is shutting it down. (horizontal output transistor)
it cost about 8.00 for the parts and 100 for the labor.
you will require help from a tech.
SOURCE: set wont turn on red light just keeps blinking
this is a malfunction of the power supply block (inside your TV-device),or over load of it.please contact the nearest repair shop.

The problem, on the AE6B chassis at least, is usually an MCZ3001DB chip. There are three in the average Sony TV, one on the so-called A-Board and 2 on the D-Board. Usually the problem is caused by a faulty one on the D-Board near the two large switching FET's. In this case, replacing this will fix the problem.

KV-32HS510 and KV-27HS420, seven times blink error code shows problem in Horizontal deflection circuit.
There are many possibilities like dry solder joints, weak capacitors, Horizontal transistor short or flyback transformer fried etc.
If you have little experience of TV repair and good solder skills and have necessary tools to test / check defective parts, then you can make it. you also need to have related service manual to see board location, schematics and part numbers.
