SOURCE: Power surge

do what it did, by a ups, set it to really sensitive, it will detect that start up surge as electrical noise and at least it will keep everything from turning off, just plug it into the surge only side, not the back up sid2e

I believe you're missing the power supply for the printer. The 3-prong power cord plugs in to the power supply. If you lost that part of the printer, I can only advise you to call Lexmark. They might be able to send you one.

    SOURCE: power surge

This is kind of hard to diagnose, but i can try to help you out. I had a problem like this in my own house. A laser printer when it first starts to print it pulls an incredable amout of electricity. Therefor it can make a few things happen. It can make your battery kick in which can be telling the pc to turn off. Or it can be blowing the fuse in your actual circuit panel. To test if you need more power i would run a heavy duty extension cord to the printer and plug it in to a seperate outlet than you can be certain is not on your comptuers circuit. If it works without turning your computer off you know your problem is your electric circuit in your house. I would then call an electrican. If it still does not work after trying the above which i dont see a happening then i would be kind of stumped :)...
Try this above step and let me know. thanks again
    Steven.
P.S. my computer worked fine for along time too before i saw any power issues.

I have replaced waste toner unit with new one on a WC 5050 and still shows the error message as full so unable to print

Reset to Default settings, if that does not work, shut down printer, unplug power from printer, shut down computer unplug power from computer, wait 20 seconds, plug power in to computer plug power in to printer, wait 5 seconds, boot computer, turn on printer.

NOTE: This should solve most problems with printers.

If still not working you have a faulty Toner unit.

Error Message PXE-MOF: Exiting Intel PXE ROM. what does this mean?

That means your hard disk is not being detected. PXE is a network boot, which is typically used in business environments. Check your BIOS settings and ensure your hard disk is being detected. If it is, make sure your boot order is set correctly. Network boot (PXE) should be set to the last item in the sequence. If the hard disk is properly being detected and an OS is present, you should never see PXE.

If your hard disk is not showing up, power your PC down (unplug the power) and check the cables to make sure they are seated.

My computer is not booting what can i do

Hi, Well if your computer is not booting properly, in that case the best solution is to go for the formatting. The problem occurs due to sudden shut down of computer due to power failure so your windows has been corrupted. So go for the formatting.

No "press any key to boot from cd" message

ok if it is windows xp and u want to format it then what u can try is that if u have the option for the complete pc restore, then what u need to do is that shut down the computer completely and then all u need to do is that shut down the computer completely from the power button and then press and hold down the "ctrl" button and then press the power button only once and keep tapping the f11 key on the keyboard....and follow the instruction that says complete factory setting and then it will give u some message from symantec and then click on ok and the computer will be format, all u need to do is follow the instruction very carefully.....

or u can try once again, shut down the computer and then press the power button only once and keep tapping f12 key on the keyboard and then highlight the cd drive and then put nthe xp disk in and keep tapping enter and enter and enter untill it will take u to the windows set up screen and then it will give u the option to press R to repair and esc to continue and press esc on the keyboard and then delete all the partition the instructuin will be given just read it carefully and it will be formatted........hope this will work take care...
