What internet browser? Try another browser for a quick solution, say Google Chrome at : http://www.filehippo.com/download_google_chrome/14561/
If you don't already have it, you will find it beneficial to have a alternate browser for many reasons. Take a look at this, you didn't post the version of IE you are using: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-vista/block-or-allow-cookies

SOURCE: compromized computer

A yahoo account or any other account online has nothing to do with your PC. If you can not get into your account it is the server
at yahoo not your PC. If it is just a problem with the web page
where you sign in then it is your cookies, just do as the other post says, and if your using firefox, tools, clear private data. But if your logged on to it and can't do anything that is there problem.
Any problems with internet are either the browser or the site, there is no need to restore PC as it is not the computer's fault.

SOURCE: unable to access email account on acer net book

Hi

This sounds like your user account settings are not correct and need to be input via the account management section to look like the following:

  • Customer Email format - [email protected]
  • Outgoing Mail Server - smtp.blueyonder.co.uk
  • Outgoing server type - SMTP
  • Incoming mail server - pop3.blueyonder.co.uk
  • Incoming server type - POP3
  • Password - for example, Rich4rd1

  • Thanks

    Trouble Signing In
Use the following solutions if you're having trouble signing into your AOL Email account. Select a heading below to expand more information.
I'm having trouble signing in to my account
Can't access AOL? Do you get one of these alerts when you try to sign in:
    a) "We detected unusual activity," or
    b) "Your Username is incorrect"?
If so, then first off, we sincerely apologize for the inconvenience. To protect your account and get back in, you'll need to reset your account.
Go to I AOL Gold.com to get it done. Typically, this is quick and easy. But if you're unable to change your account (and you're in the U.S.), call 833-781-6786 for further instructions (Mon-Fri 8am-1am ET and Sat-Sun 8am-10pm ET).
If you're not seeing either of the alerts above when you attempt to sign in, it might be an issue with your browser. Here are two things to try.
Set your browser's security setting to default
    1. First, determine the browser version you're using.
    2. Once you've identified your browser version, read our help article Reset browser security settings to default level to learn how to set your browser security settings.
    3. Try signing in again.
Clear your browser's cookies, cache, history and footprints
    1. Clear your browser's cookies, cache, history and footprints to clean your computer's disk space. Visit our help article Clear cookies, cache, history and footprints in your browser to learn how.
    2. Try signing in again.
You barely have time to clean out your closet, so why bother clearing cookies, cache, history and footprints in your browser? A few reasons to consider tidying up:
    · Websites store temporary files and cookies on your computer in order to remember you for return visits (e.g., a link you've clicked on in the past will remain darkened). As nice as it is of them to RSVP on your behalf, these temporary files and cookies can cause problems with your e-mail.
    · If your browser's history settings call for your history to be recorded for an especially long period of time, then the file size can become quite large. Clearing this list frees up space on your computer.
    · Why do I get a blank screen when trying to sign in to AOL DESKTOP?
    · There are several reasons why your screen is blank when signing in to AOL GOLD Email. Don't worry, we're here to help!
    · Try the solutions below, checking to see if you can access your email after each solution, until the problem is fixed.
Sign out and then sign back in
Sometimes, the best solution is also the easiest. If you're having trouble accessing your mail, sign out of your account, wait a few minutes, and then sign back in. This will often do the trick.
Clear browser cache, cookies and history
When you visit a website, temporary Internet files, cookies, and your browsing history are stored on your computer to record your return visit. Deleting these files (Internet files, cookies, and browsing history) can often fix the problem you're experiencing.
The instructions to clear your cache, cookies, and footprints will differ depending on the browser you use. Please visit our help article Clear cookies, cache, history and footprints in your browser for instructions on how to clear your cookies, cache, history, and footprints on your particular browser.
    Reset web settings
Resetting your web browser back to the default settings can help fix the problem. Please read our help article Reset browser security settings to default level to learn how to reset your browser security settings.

Unable to access my e-mails when I click on my inbox as directed through recent upgrade. The little arrow only spins, but does not open my e-mails. I need this problem fixed ASAP. What needs to be done?

    Hello!

Actually, the problem is not with your email account, but with your internet browser unable to full access Yahoo.

Two possible fix to your problem, but it requires an hour to fix your email account.

First, whatever internet browser you are using (Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox, Google Chrome, etc.)
clear all caches, remove all cookies and clear everything in your browsing history. This should be done in the TOOLS menu of your internet browser. Then, access again Yahoo and log in.

Second, if the first fix do not work, use alternate internet browser to access your Yahoo mail account. If you do not want to use different browser, I recommend you uninstall it, download an upgrade version and install it to your system.

The next time you access Yahoo mail, it will be successful.

    Good Luck!

I am unable to access my Yahoo mail account.

What browser are you using? Most of the time when I see this error, the browser has been set to reject cookies (or to reject cookies from a certain site). In Firefox, this is Tools, Options, Privacy. In that section, check the box marked accept cookies and double-check the Exceptions list to make sure that Yahoo isn't blocked. In Internet Explorer, this is Tools, Internet Options, the Privacy tab. There check the Security setting for the Internet Zone and the list of sites. (Other browsers will be only a little bit different.)

    I hope this helps.

(I've also had issues with other services when they can't accept logins and loop but that has usually been limited to AOL owned sites. In that case, clearing all cookies (or at least those related to the problem host), clearing the cache and restarting the browser solves the problem. That is a final thing to try.)
