Hi there, this is a problem with the system cooling state. your ps3 is unable to operate at an acceptable temperature due to this malfunction in the cooling fan regulator. unfortunately, this is a repair that will have to be preformed by a skilled Sony tech.

My playstation is the problem ok i have this issue that every time i turn on my playstation it just turns off in like 10 min by it self and it just goes off with no lights the thing is i already check all...

Hello,

Again, people assume because it is blinking red that it is the "YLOD", better known as a hardware failure.

"When the power status light flashes red after using the PS3 system for 3 or more minutes and shuts off, the PS3 system has possibly over heated. This may be caused by poor ventilation or the vents may be blocked."

"If this happens:

• Check to see if the vents are blocked. If the vents are dusty, vacuum the vents to remove the dust.

• If the PS3 system is in an enclosed area like a bookshelf or entertainment center, move it to a more open area.

• Leave the PS3 system off for 30 minutes to let it cool down.

• If you continue to have issues, you will have to send the system in for service."

I hope this will help to solve the issue of the playstation

My ps3 has a problem.every time i press the button to open it afte 2 seconds it make a noise stops working.

Try safe mode. When it shuts off by itself and the red light starts blinking then that's a YLOD problem, I can email you instructions how to do the YLOD fix if thats the problem. The instructions are to long to post in a answer on this site. jamesjmohney@gmail.com

SAFE MODE:

1. Place you finger on the on/off sensor leave it their untill you console turns off then take you finger off the sensor.

2. Place your finger back on the on/off sensor leave it their until you hear 2 consecutive beeps then take your finger off.

3. Once the safe mode screen comes on select the option PS3 SYSTEM RESTORE.

NOTE: A PS3 system restore will delete all data except the OS. I recommend backing up your console onto a USB flash drive if possible.

Good Luck!

Hello,

You can also try the steps below. Its from PlayStation Forum:

1. Turn off Playstation®3.
2. Hold the power button down; the system will turn on and turn off once again.
3. Once the System has been shutdown, re-press you finger until you hear 2 consecutive beeps
4. When you hear the 2 beeps take finger off power button.
5. You will be prompted to plug in your controller via USB and then hit the PS button
6. The Recovery menu will pop up.

The current Recovery Menu supports:
• Restart System: Restarts the PLAYSTATION®3 System.
• Restore Default Settings: Reset all system settings back to default.
• Restore File System: Checks for corrupt/missing system files.
• Rebuild Database: Rebuilds the OS for the PLAYSTATION®3.
• Restore PS3 System: Fresh restore; Deletes everything and starts from Scratch.
• System Update: Update the PLAYSTATION®3 System

If the above steps still does not solve the problem, then I think will have to update your Ps3.

Update your PS3 (in the settings menu the 1st option).

Go on the internet browser on the PS3 then go on the menu press triangle then on one of them there are delete cookies and the delete the others as
well as cookies.

You could also try this as well: put the PS3 on then press the eject button (with no disc in) then hold it and switch the PS3 off at the back with
your finger on the eject button still holding it, then put it back on and the fan test should be working this may cool it down. It might be over heating.

But if your problem is not still solved, then maybe you should call sony for further assistance.
Take care.

I have playstation 3 and when i turn the main power on ,then it loads the ps3 logo with sound ,but just after that only some almost blue screen is on backround and some white wavy mooving line or...

It sounds like the system software has become corrupted. If you dont mind losing your save games and all other data you could try a PS3 full restore. Turn the PS3 onto standby (red light on). Press and hold the power button until it turns itself back off. Press and hold the power button again until you hear 2 quick beeps together then let go. The PS3 will boot into the recovery menu. Choose option 5 "Restore PS3 system". Let it do its thing and hopefully that will solve your startup problem.

Hope this helps

Hello, My PS3 just keeps turning itself off. I have tried to reset the system but it keeps flashing red and yellow lights and then turns itself off into standby mode? HELP......

Try removing the game inside your disc. then try removing other external hardware and slots and try again. If problem persists it might be a system problem. Please go to the shp from where you bought it and ask them for a replacement.
