Question about Televison & Video
Power led turns blue when turned on but no picture still black...checked all caps there fine ....theres two different boards to this tv,,brown board and green i have the green.....
I have the same problem with a 27 inch Insignia NS-27LCD
Turned it on one day last week and no picture no sound.
Screen is black.
The only thing that happens is the power LED changes to blue
when its turned on and red when its off.
I checked the fuse and its good.
I unpluged it for a day and nothing changed .
The TV is only a year and a half old .
Thanks for any assistance
You need to check the 12 or 24v source coming from the power supply to the inverter board, that's the board usually to the left and rather tall. Get your meter set, then turn the set on and see what happens, if the voltage comes up and then shuts down, you'll need to pull the plug for the inverter and measure the voltage again. If it stays up you have a bad converter board, if not then it's in the power supply, that's good old fashion trouble shooting from there on.
