Question about Baumatic B604SS Stainless Steel Gas Single Oven
All 3 oven knobs for my Baumatic range cooker have been cleaned too well (not by me) and the temp and function markings have been erased. I'm having to guess at temps etc. Can I buy replacement knobs?
SOURCE: Gas ove will not stay lighting
Hi there you need to change the ffd on your oven FFd stands for flame faliure device. its like an temperature controlled switch. it is located in the oven and this device is what lets the gas go through once it has reached a certain temp. It must only be done by a corgi qualified engineer and to be honest your loooking at about 100 pounds.

Simply set the Clock and Delay Start to the current time, then set the Stop Time ahead 3 hours. For example, if it is currently 8:00 then set the Stop Time to 11:00. The lights on the console will come on and the cleaning cycle will begin. At some point during the cycle when the oven gets hot enough, the lock mechanism is "fixed" and will not release until the cycle is complete.

The oven element has failed, you need to fit a new element.
It is a straight forward repair to do.
Remove inner rear panel of oven, you will see the round element at rear.
Unfasten element, detach wires, and fit new element.
Refit rear panel, and test.
Plz rate my solution.

if lower element tests open with continuity meter then it for sure is bad. i would also check the wire ends that connect to the element and/or the control board, they could have loosened allowing a bad connection and low voltage to elementor burnt off.. most ovens do not use the broil element at all during the bake cycle, only during the broil cycle.. some however do utilize the broil element during baking, but at a lower wattage or something..
best of luck,

If the oven is electrically heated, then more than likely, the oven element has failed.
This is located behind a removeable cover at the rear of the oven.

SOURCE: I've replaced fan element in my baumatic oven and it's now heating continously when turned on. The temp knob/light still 'clicks' when oven reaches desired temp but the element doesn't switch off.
I am going to say you have a faulty thermostat.
