What kind of computer component are you looking for? Mother board? Drives? Your question is a little too vague to help you.

My smps fan not roatating. what happens if it is not roatating?

It may be that you PSU will overheat. It depends on the features of your PSU as to what the consequences of this are.
Some PSUs are equipped with a thermal cut-out in which case your PSU will simply turn itself off. Others will overheat, and internal damage to components will ensue, and your PSU and possibly your computer will cease to function (permanently). Your PSU may just catch fire in the worst case.
However, it may also be that your SMPS fan is thermally activated and only comes on when the PSU temperature is greater than some threshold; this is a design feature of the PSU if it is present. Some fans are equipped with a speed con troll that links the speed of the fan to temperature of the PSU. See you PSU details to determine which of the it may be. If it is a Zalman brand PSU, most likely it has a themally controlled fan. This feature also has propriety names such as "Silent Fan Technology" or "Whisper Fan"

Samsung R428 notebook wont switch on

This problem, from your description, is very unlikely to be because of a change in your settings, if nothing happens when you try to turn your computer on.
If no power is being supplied to your computer - no lights come on - then
you might just have the combination of a flat battery and a faulty power adapter. You must test the power adapter (measure the output voltage with a voltmeter) or obtain another one (preferably temporarily/borrow) to see if your computer will turn on with that. If your power adapter has failed it must be replaced. If still in warranty, Samsung or your retailer/dealer should replace it at no cost. (you should not attempt to repair a power adapter)
Otherwise (or even as a first step) I suggest you contact Samsung support by email or Live Chat (details are on this
webpage.) Please have your computer's model number, serial number, operating system and other details to hand (the numbers
can be often be found on labels on the case of your PC)

I need a internal fan for a advent 4214 note book ....any idea where I can purchase one

You will have to take it to pc world as its their own brand. They probably wont give you any info unless they repair it for you. Thats the problem when buy a shops own brand. It may be cheap but costs you more in the long run.

Hi. I have a HP laptop for about 3 months and now it gives me the message " a cooling factor is not working properly" , and it shuts down 15 minutes later. what should I do? Should I go to the...

The laptop should be covered since it is only three months old. That's the good news. The less than good news, is that you may have to wait a while before you get your computer back.

I don't have the laptop in front of me, so naturally I can't diagnose the problem directly.
I would hazard an intelligent guess that the Cooling Fan inside the laptop has failed.

Components inside a computer are normally cooled by air. (High tech gamer computers may use a different type of cooling system. They may use water, or a refrigerant of some sort. { Dry Ice, Nitrogen, Freon, etc)

Two main computer components generate the most heat.
The Processor, and the graphics chipset. (Video chip, Same/same)

The Processor is the 'Brain' of the computer. It's designed to operate up to a maximum temperature, (Thermal Limit), and no higher, or damage to the Processor will result.

There is a Fail Safe feature built-in to turn the Processor off, if it becomes too hot.
    (BIOS turns the Processor off)

With no cooling fan operating the Processor will overheat.

You didn't indicate what model name, and model number your HP laptop is.
This is to just show you what an average cooling fan looks like in an HP laptop,
(HP DV6 series ), and what is entailed in order to access it,

Scrolling down to Step 24, and 25 shows the top view of the cooling fan.
Step 29 shows the bottom view.

Would appreciate hearing the outcome, please reply in a Comment.

I have an HP G62. I get an error message saying a cooling fan is not working properly - data may be lost, damaged, etc - and then it turns off. The fan seems to be much louder than it did when I first got...

I really suggest that you replace the fan it is not that hard to do. Get a replacement and look for how to do the job online in Google Search engine. There are samples usually at for this type of thing. If you continue to run this computer you may be replacing a mother board shortly now is the time to fix this. If you do not want to attempt it take it into a professional it will cost you a lot less than a brand new computer. I hope this assisted you. Thanks for using FixYa! John

Hi, my compaq CQ50-115NR used to make great fan, nothing and it gets hotter and hotter...what should I do?

    Have the fan replaced.

The 'great fan noise' you heard was the fan's bearings.
The looser the fan bearings became, the more the fan tilted, allowing the center hub of the fan to rub against the bearing base.

A laptop has a poor cooling system. All of the hardware components, are crammed into one tiny box. Air is the only cooling medium to keep these components cool.

The Processor, and the graphics chip are the two components that give off the most heat.
When a Processor becomes too hot, it turns off.
    (BIOS turns it off)
This is a Fail Safe feature built-in, to keep the processor from burning up.

I would advise not using the laptop until this has been corrected.
Is the laptop still under warranty?

    Dell dimension 8300 no power

    Bad news:

In my experiance you have a fried mother board.

Question are you getting any display from your monitor - if you are there is hope - if not the same thing that took out the power suply has probably fried the motherboard.

The only other thing I would sugest is to flash the BIOS - either locate JP1 or remove the battery (looks like a whatch battery) and cross the terminals with a screwdriver - re-install the battery and see how it goes.

Point: No display = no motherboard.

Good news is that the RAM, Procesor and other components are probably good.
