SOURCE: ticking noise in engine and blue smoke in exhaust

the tapping are the lifts tapping because there is no oil getting to the top of the motor. the blue smoke is the oil burning.could be the head gasket is going bad or the piston rings are done in.

SOURCE: loud banging noise frome rear of car

Were the rear muffler tailpipe hangers checked for being broken or missing? even Engine mounts will cause this and because it does making a left turn you would want to check out the right rear one especially and of course if needed replace all of them...also meaning the hangers for the exhaust system..

SOURCE: 2005 transit loud turbo,no power especially on

The black smoke is blow-by you need a ring job. Oil is getting by the top ring of your pistons in one or more cylinders. Loss of power under a load is also indicative of this.

When first starting up smoke comes from exhaust and makes a loud noise

Black smoke is excess unburnt fuel. Blue smoke is oil being burned, if blue the valve stem seals may be allowing oil to seep down over night.

Hi,
Is the Check Engine Light (CEL) on? If so, you need to take it in to a mechanic and get it checked for any diagnostic codes. Also, you can go to Autozone or other auto parts stores (call ahead) and they will check the codes.

It sounds like an exhaust leak - it could be a manifold gasket - where the exhaust pipes connect to the engine, or possibly another spot on the exhaust has a hole.

Black smoke & ckanking noise when shifting

The popping noise could be a misfire and as for the black smoke, the engine is running rich. If there is an Auto ZOne in your area, have them scan the car for any DTC codes and look have the fuel pressure regulator checked. Look for cracked or if the vacuum tube has fallen off the fuel pressure regulator. Good luck and hope this helps
