Please help I can't ring out on my phone

Check for dialing tone by pressing 'Talk On' phone button.
If no tone, check cord at base station and the phone socket is correctly plugged in at both ends using the original cord supplied.
If still no dial tone, check the phone at another phone connection to establish if either the phone or the line is faulty. Address for

Pressed cancel to delete #of missed calls, showed No Line. Haven't any service now.

Check your phone cord source for bad connections. Also, could be another phone in the house left open. Worse case, unplug all phones at the source and start form the main phone source.

What is meant when screen says out of range

You will need to take your handset closer to the base because the signal is weak and out of range. Try locating the charging base in a more central location. If this doesn't work try this.
You can first try a Basic Reset.
A reset is done by following the below steps:
1. Disconnect the battery from handset(s)
2. Disconnect Phone Cord from wall jack
3. Disconnect Phone cord from base unit
4. Disconnect AC adapter from wall outlet
5. Allow to sit for 30 min
6. Reconnect Phone Cord to base
7. Reconnect Phone cord to wall jack
8. Reconnect AC Adapter to wall outlet
9. Reconnect battery into handset until you click or feel the plug snap into place
10. Re-Register Handset by placing on main base

Answering machine wont turn on

Have you checked and made sure all the proper cords are plugged in to the proper places? Also, have you tried just pushing all the cords further in, because the problem might just be that the cords aren't in correctly?.

Panasonic DECT 6.0 shows "in use" but it's not. Why?

When I get this error, it's often a problem with the phone line wiring. Sometimes, it is the phone itself.

I like to use a spare corded phone and a new RJ-11 cord to localize the problem. First, try using the spare phone at the jack where the Panasonic base is plugged in. If you get a dial tone with the spare phone, try the new RJ-11 cable with the phone. If there is still no dial tone, then the phone needs repair or replacement.

If you do not have dial tone with the spare phone, try the test phone at another jack on that phone line.If there is dial tone, there is a problem with the first jack. You will need to open the jack and check the wiring. These are either keystones jacks or screw terminals. The keystone type require a special tool to press the wires into the terminal block. This is available at many hardware stores in the electrical wiring aisle (with the keystones and wires for whole house video/telecommunications access).

If you still have no dial tone, find the telephone access box. If you are lucky, that box has RJ-11 jacks so that you can test the line. If there is still no dial tone, contact your phone company. Outside line problems will be fixed by your provider.

If you have dial tone at the access box, you have a wiring problem somewhere inside. You can try to track the wires in any exposed area for signs of damage. You might want to call a professional to check the wires in the wall. Your phone company will do this for a fee.

I hope this helps.

(my own phones gave "Line In Use" when a contractor damaged a wire digging in the wrong spot and when mice got to the underground lines outside. Those problems were fixed by the phone company.)

I have a clicking that occurs when using my phone, then it echoes, then goes away. This happens on both cordless and corded. Any ideas?

Take your corded phone to the outside interface box where your service provider enters the building, open the box, find the modular connection where your line cord can connect, unplug the cord in it now and plug your corded phone into it. If the clicking continues, call your service provider. This test isolates
the building wiring from the service provider to determine where the fault is. If there is no clicking during the test, the problem is in the building wiring, outlets or connected devices to the phone line. Good luck.

No dial tone on any of the handsets which means answering machine doesn't work or caller ID or missed calls

is the main base plugged into the phone outlet? make sure it is and i would recommend putting a filter on the end of the cord. (dsl filter) then plug filter into wall. hopes this solves it! (note you might need to replace your phone cord).

How to connect the answering machine to my telephone

You should have two jacks on your answering machine. One should be marked "Line". Plug the telephone cord from your wall into this one. The other jack should be marked "Phone". You will need another telephone cord to plug into this and then connect the other end to the phone.
