the way you can transfer your videos on your computer is by using USB cable and install the driver to your computer. You can upload your videos by saving it on ULEAD products. As far as i know you cant transfer videos from disc to your memory card unless it was been converted but you cant view or watch it on your camcorder itself only computer can play this because your camcorder is not able to play such converted files.
i will give you a step by step on your camcorder.
connect your camcorder using your USB cable to your computer and be sure it is ON
Install the cd driver camed with your camcorder. if you didnt prompt on looking for a driver then go to the add hardware on the control panel and follow the procedure there.
after the installation you should see the icon on the my computer labeled scanners and cameras and indicating the model of your camcorder.
Install Ulead Power Producer or any editing movie that you have like Windows movie maker, nero movier maker etc.. i prefer to use Ulead because its so easy to use
after uploading and editing your videos using ULEAD save it on any various types of videos that you like. you should see it after you want to save it.

I have a Canon DC10 and cannot seem to out the video footage I recorded onto my computer. I have heard that this problem has come up with every Canon DC10 user, and the product has since been discontinued. I have also heard that I can download a program that changes the format of the disc so my computer can read it and therefore upload my videos. Can you help me with this?

Ok so my problem is getting the footage off the mini DVD's to my PC to edit. I finalize the disc play it back in the camera fine. I load it on to my PC and it plays fine. I than try to copy the files from the dvd dircectly onto my hard drive, but fail. I than tried to load it into the camcorder and copy the files that way, but fail. I have than decided to capture the footage into Premier Pro, but fail (wont see the device and I'm sure thats because there is no firewire connection). I than tried to copy the movie file from the mini DVD in my PC to another drive (movie) as well the folder, but fail. I have tried to import the files and movie from the camera linked to my PC as well having the mini DVD in my driver to my hard drive, but than again fail. The errors I get are unable to copy, file corrupt, has to be playing to capture, wont register in premier pro, and so on. I have tried several or all these techniques on about 10 different mini DVD's. I have even tried installing the software with the camcorder, which worked but never got any audio files just the video footage(what good does that do me when I need audio?). As well the software Canon provided splined with my drivers and when I uninstalled the Canon software it disabled my drivers which caused me to do a system restore(score a big one for Canon there). I'm now at the point of throwing this camcorder against a brick wall and wanting to scream at the Canon for making this product. Please help so I can get this valuable footage off and NEVER BUY CANON AGAIN!
