The hard drive is hidden inside, and you have to take the palm rest off to get to it. Take the srews at the bottom out, take the keyboard off and replace the screws underneath. then pry off the palm rest. There are Laptop Repair Guides
that show how to open a Laptop. Watch out for the ribbon cables,
those tear easily. Replacement parts are usually available on Ebay.
There are third party services that can do it for you, like Sony Repair NYC.

you can try to go to bios pae and check if the system can detect the hard drive.If not you might need to call call Sony to check if the system is still on warranty so that they can replace the hard drive free of cost if not you might need to replace it with a new one
