My son has some incredible songs on youtube and I can only get it to play 20 seconds of the song and then it freezes! What do I do? I can play other videos with hardly any problems.
Usually playing videos is all about a computer's ability to process data quickly. Streaming video is a horse of another color however. It relies a lot more heavily on the computer's ability to get data over your internet connection as well as the reliability of your web browser.
Granted there's nothing wrong with your internet connection (as usually that's the first thing people mention when it exists) try another web browser and see if it makes any difference. For instance if you're using IE, download and install Google Chrome and then give Youtube a whirl. If it's nice and clean with fewer bumbs, that will tell you your IE is getting locked up.
Most common ways to remedy that, if that is indeed the ultimate issue, is to clear your browser cache and maybe do a system scan for adware just in case you have a corporate hitchhiker on board.
Lavasoft.com will give you the Adaware scanner for free if you find you need that scan.
Best of luck!
