How do i unlock my miele H4900b oven? - Miele H4900B Electric Single Oven

This is what worked for my Miele. I used the "self clean" function after couple of years of use and once it was done, the panel showed "Error F" without a specific number. The sales guy where I purchased the oven from, suggested that I turn the breaker off for 30min for a complete reset. Did not work. Based on a friend's suggestion, I initiated the "self clean" again and canceled within a minute. And the door was unlocked !!! A safe try, before calling for the service.

If you have power at the bulb, and the bulb is good, check the center pin in the bulb socket. They get flattened down after a lot of use and it will not make proper contact with the bulb. If its flat use a small screwdriver to carefully lift it back up. ALL POWER TO UNIT MUST BE OFF TO DO THIS!

Did you remove power to the oven for three minutes, then try again?

Look at your booklet that came with the oven - the page that shows you how to clean the door. The inside glass panel folds upwards and outwards and you can then access the screw holding the handle in place. Unfortunately you need a rather strange star-shaped screw driver.... I had to go and buy one but that's a lot cheaper than a Miele engineer call-out.

If you can't find your instructions you will be able to look it up online.

The temperature is too high in the oven , you need to wait till it cools down. If still not opens then either the PTC is bad or the lock itself is damaged.

I don't believe this model has a clock feature - just cooking timer. I checked through the operation manual and did not find any indication of a clock function. The manual is available here:

hi,

as you turn the dial for the different cooking functions the oven automatically defaults to certain temperatures. you can however adjust the temperature using the plus or minus buttons as well

A dedicated circuit is recommended. 208-240V 20A L1 L2 & Ground, Neutral not required.

The old fashioned way, say NO DON'T TOUCH and move the child away.
