Try turning the temp up by a degree in increments, if it doesn't, then there's a problem with either the compressor, or the relay and temp.

SOURCE: Jenn Air JCD2389 fridge not cold on fridge side

You have plugged the defrost drain line. This is where the water goes to in the bottom of your freezer when it goes through the defrost (removal of ice from the freezer coil) cycle. It sounds like that hole is plugged and now the water/ice has now frozen in the vent that lets air circulate down into your refrigerator compartment. What I usually do in this case is to unplug the refrigerator, empty out the freezer compartment. Usually I also end up either pulling off the back panel or the bottom panel (in the freezer compartment) Looking for that defrost drain hole and thawing it out with a heat gun (be careful of melting plastic) or actually I use a hair dryer. I can sometimes do this also by pouring small amounts of HOT tap water onto it and then sopping/absorbing it away with a sponge or dishcloth. I repeat this until I get the water to go down the drain tube.

Try it and let me know!

SOURCE: my fridge is warm, the frezzer is cold but not

Hi, Look inside the freezer and see if there is frost building up on the rear panel inside. If there is frost, Remove the rear panle and check the defrost heater and bi-metal switch (must be tested while cold) for continuity, If either of these switches show an open circuit, replace it.
If these parts test ok, replace the defrost timer.
Other things to look for, make sure fans and compressor are running.
Please let me know if this helps or if I can assist you further.

SOURCE: I just has the motherboard replace last week and

You don't say why the mother board was replaced. Make sure the board was the correct one, part number WR55X10656 for your GSS22WGMD and that all plugs are firmly and correctly attached to it. If yes, then check the defrost heater (located behind the back wall inside the freezer, near the bottom) to see if it is burnt out. (If you disconnect the wires from each end of it and test, finding no continuity, it is bad) It is a part number WR51X10101 for your model, and is a fairly common failure point. While you have that apart, manually defrost the coils with a hair dryer. (the manual defrosting alone will get your refrig working for at least a week, allowing you time to get any needed parts.) If left alone without defrosting, your freezer section will not be working well soon either.

SOURCE: ge fridge makes a clicking noise fan in frezzer

Main control board bad . The board controls the fan opperation and the clicking , sounds like a relay on the board . Replacing the board should solve the problem(s) .

Ge monogram zfsb23d howls

Usually you will get a sort of whinning/screeching noise from the fans inside the fridge/frezzer when they are not working properly but you can also get that howling noise from the fan which cools the compressor for the fridge/frezzer which is usually found underneath the Unit. All you have to do is find exactly where the noise is coming from and remember unless you have a dog that likes to lock itself in the fridge for a joke then most noises that come from fridge/frezzers are only made from the moving mechanical parts and sometimes leaking refridgerants but not often.

Issue with Kenmore Refrigerator/Freezer

ok,1st check on fridge side toward upper back of the top and feel for air coming thru, and there is another one down possibly behind crisper .I had this same deal. Had to do total defrost,, put food in cooler,, theres two blower fans in these types of fridges,,one in the bottom back,, and one in the back of the frezzer,, I used an old hair dryer and let it blow warm to top interior of frezzer,, careful not to let any cords hang/drop in any water!!,ok once done dry out as much water as possible, turn fridge on set both controls to 4,when fridge kicks on do the feel test,, you may need to close the frezzer door, air should be felt near top inside of fridge,if so than shut fridge side and feel inside frezzer near bottom and air should be felt,, side-by-side need to circulate air from frezzer to fridge, then back to frezzer

Find where the supply air is coming into the fridge part. It comes from the freezer and could easily be supplying -18 air direct to the door. This would give you a 2 in the fridge but anything in the direct air path could freeze.

My Kenmore refrigerator is not cooling properly. Freezer portion works fine but not refrigerator. Came on suddenly.

I had the same problem. The frezzer worked but the fridge was not getting cold. What I have learned is that the frezzer make the fridge cold, so if the frezzer is working then something is blocking the cold air to get into the fridge. Most likely ice. The air come in at the bottom of the inside of the fridge next to the frezzer. Pull everything out of the frezzer, then unscrew the plannel that runs along the back and you see if there is ice. If so turn frezzer off and dry out the frezzer. I used hot water.

How do you turn off freezer, refrig. is a side by side with a lower freezer that pulls out. Recently moved and freezer door broke and need to use just the refrig.

I don't believe you can turn off the frezzer section because most if not all frezzer/fridge units use the frezzer section to cool the fridge side!!!! that's just how they are designed.

There is a restriction in the condensate drain. You should be able to press a piece of tubing against the drain opening (inside fridge) and BLOW (NOT ****) through the other end. this should clear the obstruction. The obstruction would be slimy goop, sooo again -

Fridge and freezer not getting cold

If it was layed down to move and not let sit for a while before using it again it would not work. Somtimes leaving in off and let it settle will straighten it out but not all time. The oil in the compressor get into the cooling lines and blockes the freon. Other than that, check the condenser coil which are near the compressor. They should be warm when the compressor is runnin. If they are not warm there is a compressor or freon problem.
