Want to see motherboard manufacturer name and model number.

Post back in a Comment.

Or computer manufacturer name and model number.

Model number is in the back of the computer, next to the Windows product key; or up on the side of the computer tower.

SOURCE: Requared bios updated versin for foxconn 865gv chipset mother board

Hi, I run a foxconn mobo myself and yes its a great board. But dont go to the foxconn site looking for downloads. instead go to the VIA site they make the chips and you will get more sense there. If all else fails Foxconn do have a "Contact us " link on their home page. This will give you the company email address and you could request directions to the update site there, the only trouble is it could take weeks to get a response. Regards mistyman

Found electrics bad on compressor.Replaced with 3 in 1 kit.Compressor runs fine but condensor fan motor will not come on.I took the start capacitor out of the circuit but I have a wire that went from the...

why didn't you buy the overload and relay?i would get that 3 in 1 out of there, order the correct parts, most likely if the condenser fan motor failed the compressor was running to hot and cooked the overload and relay but this has a mother board in it that runs almost everything on this machine, you can't remove the cap or other parts so if i were you i would order the correct parts, put that cap back in and order a new condenser fan motor,if this machine is like 8 to 10 years and you never updated the mother board this also could be your problem, look at the mother board if it doesn't have all 7 of the relays in it it's not the newest board, also have you noticed the evap fan in the freezer maybe revving up or changing speeds that's another way to tell if you have a bad board if you noticed the fans speeding up or slowing down, here's a video hope this helps but get that 3in1 out of there and order the correct parts

Not able to switch on the mothere board. Green led on the board glows but the system is not powering on.

1. Check the mother board user manual 1st. To see how to properly install this mother boar to your PC cabinet or tower.
2. Check to see if you have the power from the power supply correctly connected
3. You may not have the proper watts or power from the power supply to power said mother board.
4. check the mother board battery it may not have proper voltage it should be 3.9 volts or more with a voltage meter check.
usually a 2025 button battery on the board

1. On board display card is not working 2. When we attach external vga card display is working but no BIOS image in mother board and it gives an error that BIOS image is scan. 3.Key board is not working.

who makes the mother board and what bios is it using? can u access the bios at boot up? if so, is the integrated video option on? have you checked for upgrades / updates for the bios ? if you can access the bios, remove all non integrated devices from the mother board, select the option for "default settings" save and exit. then restart. after assuring the keyboard is plugged in the correct port. it should be color coded.

Red lights on board

i never had green lights on my motherboard, they have always been red and it runs fine. the mother board was made with red led lights. if its not working right, it's probably the switches on the mother board, normally make the first switch on, and the other 3 off.

New Problem

The manual you need will be on the board manufacturers web page, howevr I will bet you have the case power switch and perhaps the reset switch on the wrong pins on the mother board. To check this, remove the switch leads from the mother board, then use a small screw driver and bridge the pins on the mother board a pair at a time. All of these leads plug on to the board in a line and not across the two lines of pins. when you get the mother board to fire up by this method geet a torch and look closely alongside the pins you will see the letters PWR SW or RS SW. It does not matter what polarity these two sets of leads are plugged onto both will work. The LED lights on the case front will only work if the polarity is correct but it will not do any harm if they are backwords. On the board you should se two sets of pins marked HDD and PWR these are the led light pins you will know you have them right when the usual red and green lights are working at the front of your tower.
