Replacing the power board will fix this amp/sub combo. Seems to have blown a cap or two.

I suggest shipping or transporting to your local tech shop for repair. this will require a qualified tech.

If the unit is still on warranty, then send it to Sunfire, any repair may invalidate warranty.

If unit is not covered, then the problem is probably one of the capacitors on power board. You can have it repaired at a local electronics.

If the fuse was blown then there is an internal short in the sub's amplifier circuit, if it is under warranty send it back for repair.

Hey, first test the powersupply and see if its giving out what the sub needs in order to function. Also check all the fuses in the unit. Is the powersupply working? do you see any burned or bulky components / faulty components?

Own a Sunfire True Sub MKII, light on but no bass, when volume on all the way it barely hits. Fuses appear to be ok.Circuit board looked ok I dint notice any blown caps or miscolored resistors. Help?

Start with the volume way down on the sub.

Connect the line out of a source you know is working with cables you know work to the inputs of the sub. Try left and right.

This will let you know if the problem is in the sub or the output you're trying to use.

Does anyone know what value the R99 resistor is on the true sub junior

R99 on the Sunfire True Sub Junior is a surface mount resistor (no color bands), and measures 51k ohms. R102 near it is colored gray, red, brown, gold.

AR SW-30 subwoofer doesn't switch to standby mode when off

Disconnect its input cable to see if a true lack of signal lets it go to sleep. If not, it has a bug. Otherwise, you probably have some sort of signal present on the sub cable.

Red standby light does not come on

a black fuse means really excess current.if it is the ac mains fuse be careful.i am is 120 watts of power different.if it is the dc fuse, try a slow blow fuse with the same rating. it will allow more dynamics from movies ect.

Earthquake eq-12 subwoofer parameters

I can't seem to locate the specs in my files or on line. From what I remember, you can use/build a sealed enclosure for each sub ranging from 1.5 to 2.5 cu.ft per sub. The larger boxes will play lower bass than the smaller ones at the expense of overall power handling and some efficiency. Ported boxes get a little more difficult but with some trial and error, they can be very effective. Even more so when tuned by the listeners own ear. Let me know if you need specifics on how to do this. Also General specs of your sub can be determined by knowledgeable audiophiles with a brief inspection. Perhaps a local electronics shop (if available) could help in this regard. Good luck and let me know if I can help further.

Has light but no sound

The first thing to always check first is the fuse. This will probably involve some disassembly but it is alwayst the cheapest fix and a constant issue.
