Replacing the power board will fix this amp/sub combo. Seems to have blown a cap or two.

I suggest shipping or transporting to your local tech shop for repair. this will require a qualified tech.

If the unit is still on warranty, then send it to Sunfire, any repair may invalidate warranty.

If unit is not covered, then the problem is probably one of the capacitors on power board. You can have it repaired at a local electronics.

If the fuse was blown then there is an internal short in the sub's amplifier circuit, if it is under warranty send it back for repair.

Hey, first test the powersupply and see if its giving out what the sub needs in order to function. Also check all the fuses in the unit. Is the powersupply working? do you see any burned or bulky components / faulty components?

Own a Sunfire True Sub MKII, light on but no bass, when volume on all the way it barely hits. Fuses appear to be ok.Circuit board looked ok I dint notice any blown caps or miscolored resistors. Help?

Start with the volume way down on the sub.

Connect the line out of a source you know is working with cables you know work to the inputs of the sub. Try left and right.

This will let you know if the problem is in the sub or the output you're trying to use.

Before rushing off to buy a replacement power supply, open your sub and check for a blown fuse.

How do I fix not switching from standby red light to on green light?

Fault to its main board. Short circuited component/s at it. Contact any service technician; or the authorized service center. If you wish to get some details; check the site linked here. Surf the site with patience. Pull up older posts. http://electronicshelponline.blogspot.com/ . In most cases, the main board might have to be replaced. If so, a software [firmware] update too might be necessary.

No power output or display.green standby light flashes.

Sounds like either a blown mainpower fuse or the thermal fuse for the power transformer. If the protect circuit was kicking in, the display would light up, but then turn off with a red blinking light. the green light with no display means the transformer is not getting power.

AR SW-30 subwoofer doesn't switch to standby mode when off

Disconnect its input cable to see if a true lack of signal lets it go to sleep. If not, it has a bug. Otherwise, you probably have some sort of signal present on the sub cable.

Tv went off while watching a program power standby red light blinks 6 times then pauses then repeats tried unplugging unit waiting a few minutes then replugged same results nothing. can anyone help me ?...

Here's an excerpt from the Sony Manual online. And the link - http://esupport.sony.com/US/perl/webtree.pl?template=EN&mdl=KDF55XS955&content_id=68&category_id=11&problem_id=52

The POWER/STANDBY (red) indicator flashes three times
If your power/standby indicator is flashing in a pattern of three flashes, this may indicates that the lamp cover is not attached securely. Follow the directions in the Operating Manual under changing your lamp that related to closing and securing the Lamp Cover. Ensure that the Lamp Cover Door is securely fastened by tightening each screw.

The POWER/STANDBY (red) indicator flashes continously
If your power/standby indicator is flashing continuously, and the lamp cover has been secured, your TV may be in need of service.

The POWER/STANDBY indicator is lit up green (not flashing)
A sustained green light indicates your TV is on.

The POWER/STANDBY indicator is lit up red (not flashing)
A sustained red light from your power/standby indicator simply indicates that your TV is in standby mode. This shows you that your TV is ready to be turned on with the remote.

Is it the power light and not the lamp light? If the lamp light is flashing then replace the lamp.

The first thing to always check first is the fuse. This will probably involve some disassembly but it is alwayst the cheapest fix and a constant issue.
