Question about Voyetra Turtle Beach Record Producer Deluxe for PC

Can't register product or use Advanced Audio Editor

I own Voyetra Record Producer Deluxe. I recently had to reinstall it, but now it won't let me register. It always comes back "no response from server". Is this product no longer supported? So I choose to use the trial version, but then I still can't use Advanced Audio Editor because it keeps telling me that my trial period is over (even though I just installed it and haven't even used it once yet), and that I should register if I have a legitimate copy, which I do, but I can't. Is there anyway around this? Thanks.

I ran into the same issue when I tried to reinstall it. I did some research and found out that this product among many is no longer supported by Turtlebeach. The registration server that were used to activate the licensed copy have been shut down. So even if you own a licensed copy, you cannot install this software anymore and use it. Talk about a company that leaves their customers high and dry after they've purchased a product is unimaginable. It's one thing saying that a product won't work with Vista and another to say that you can no longer use it if your machine crashed and you had to reinstall. I'll never buy another product from this company ever again and I would advise others to stay away from them. They are digging their own hole with this sort of practice...Do these people know how many XP machines are still out there???

If you have a valid Record Producer installation on another machine, you can register the product on another machine by copying all of the values EXACTLY in the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Voyetra\Setup\Reg16 registry key from your old machine to your new machine. It will have REG_SZ values labelled 1 - 10, and a REG_BINARY value labelled RPD51D. Reproduce this registry key exactly in your new machine and RPD will be registered on that system as well.

The first solution posted was incomplete, and a better method exists. On your system with a valid Record Producer installation, use Regedit to Export the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Voyetra\Setup registry key to a .REG file. Then on your new machine, rename the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Voyetra\Setup key (I used SetupSave as the new key name) then run the .REG file from the old machine to place the exported registry keys into the new registry. You should now have all the capabilities in the new installation that were present in the old installation.

What if the trial period expired B4 you read this great solution ???
How can I reset the "trial period flag" whereever it lives ??

  • monroe48 Jul 13, 2011

I had to run "REGEDIT" and select "EXPORT" from the MENU to get copies of "REG 16" and "REG17" on the old machine saving it to a thumb drive. Then on the new machine I first save its copies as a backup before I loaded the new copies from the thumb drive. I was fortunate to have a copy of this software on another machine. Thanks for the help!!

TOTALLY agree with you!...I have been using AUDIO SURGEON for many years and it was my FAVOURITE software ever!...nothing compares to this easy-to-use programme. Yet I had to do a complete system reboot to fix problems and tried to reinstall the software and the registration will not go throu.
Like you said, what harm is there in VOYETRA in having an open key now that the programmes/and software are discontinued????...Total lot of rubbish in my opinoin and I am VERY ANGRY for this. I paid alot of money for that software...how dare they decide to "discontinue" the software/programme/s. They should at least have the decenacy to allow customers to continue using that software we paid alot of money for! (CUSTOMERS!!!...THAT'S WHAT WE ARE!!!!, and the customers are always right!, who happen to pay them to develop and expand their company, AND without US, they wouldn't have a job/company!).

WoBoyao, you are a genius ...your solution of exporting the specific .reg files from an already registered computer worked like a charm.

Now I can used the software I paid for instead of being shafted by Voyetra.

If you just bought that software from CompUSA then you will want a full refund. Record Producer Deluxe is a discontinued software from Turtle Beach. You will likely never get it up and running.

I realize that Record Producer (which I had tried to reregister) is no longer being offered by Turtlebeach.com I don't have it running on another machine. I tried to back it up but it didn't take...

If your tracks are mostly MIDI you can use "Administrator" rights to change the extension from .rpp to .mid and other programs will load those tracks as standard midi files. I've tested this out and it works.

A: You cannot Register this product on our Web Site (turttlebeach.com). If you go there under
the Registration menu, it will tell you how to Register:
...please do so within the program itself by selecting:
Start > Programs > Turtle Beach > Montego DDL > Start on line RegistrationThe registration on product program:

1) In your program, go to Help > Register...
2) Click the button for "I have a paid for Product ID..."
3) Enter your Product ID No. in the spaces provided paying attention to typos.
Typically Zeroes instead of 'O' as in Oscar.
4) Click [Next>]
5) Fill out the user info (optional)
6) Click [Next>]
7) Click in "Activate my software automatically via the Internet (Fastest)."
8) Click [Next>]

Not enough volume to record on my audio cleaning lab deluxe 2004

Try using a mic input. There should be on the mixer control a 10 decible button to use. This will increase the volume of your recording.

the problem is you are only recording on one side if you are using only one source, try using dual mics (with a audio interface with at least 2 inputs) or just record your tracks in stereo, then change the playback prefference to mono for listening purposes, then change back to stereo before mixdown
