Question about Sony FD Trinitron WEGA KV-34HS420 34" TV
I am interested in any known HV problems that would
cause the relays to cycle and end in led
blinking 7 times when the set is powered up. Is this only
an indication of HV in excess of 33KV?
Where can I get a copy of the schematic?
Yes this is normally an indication that the HV has exceeded 33,000V. The first thing to check is the rgulator circuit. If you plan on attempting this repair yourself, please udate this and I'll look up the specifics.
If you need the service manual, perform a Google search. There are a number of sites that have the manual available for sale. I am not aware of any free site that would have it. THe cost should be around $10-$15.
