Question about Canon CanoScan LiDE 25 Flatbed Scanner
My scanner (CanonScan Lide 25) is connected to my computer and the lock switch is set to UNLOCKED. But when I try to scan something my scanner sounds like it's starting the scan but after 2 seconds it stops and this message appears on my screen : "Release the lock switch. detach the I/F cable and reconnect. Scanner driver will be closed." When I click "OK" this message also appears "Unable to open TWAIN source. Please check connection. Then re-start Toolbox."
Could my cable be broken or one of the USB entrance? Please help me if you know what could be the problem.
Your Train source may be your scanner Twain driver. Reinstall the driver.

This happened to me - my scanner is properly unlocked but a popup message keeps telling me to unlock the switch. I have tried several solutions shared by other users (added path for twain_32, locked/unlocked/replugged USB, uninstall/reinstall), everything did not work until I tried using a third party software. My scanner now works fine, I'm glad I didn't dispose of it after years of "not working". My conclusion - CanoScan Toolbox has issues.
