Question about Acer Aspire 5610-4648 Notebook
I bought a new acer aspire (it´s one of those mini laptops) this christmas. everything worked well until now. when i last tried chatting with a friend per webcam on skype i just couldn´t see the button for the webcam. i tried MSN ,facebook and even the picture tool on my computer. i tried going to the setting and i couldn´t find anything there either. can i solve it myself ,or do i have to go to the acer store to get it fixed?
please help me!!
If it's not physically damaged you can fix it yourself. Could be a driver conflict, have you installed any new programs lately?
In your Start menu search, type "Device Manager". Open DM and click the + next to "Imaging Devices". Find your webcam and double click it. What does it say on the "General" tab for "Device Status"? You can go to the Driver tab and "Update Driver". Try letting Windows find the best driver for you. If it tells you that you already have the best driver installed, but it still won't work, try uninstalling the driver and updating it again.
Your webcam drivers can also be found on your recovery discs, and Acer's website.

click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
