Acer extensa 4220 wireless problem

i just recently purchased a acer extensa 4220, i formatted the computer
to remove vista and installed xp everything is working great, except i have a no wireless capabilities. i installed the wireless_intel_3945_4665 v11.1.1.11_xp but not working he sdi no driver, can please help me...

  1. as per the solution #1 Seabee Tim, i open device manager but we dont have a DM to open.kindly please more idea, thank you very much.

    as per the solution #2 Florin_Decad, i already try that driver from acer-euro like wireless_intel _3945_3445, wireless broadcam and wireless atheros but not working, kindly please give me more idea, thank you very much
  1. sorry but having the same problem is there any other solution and please confirm one thing is it because i uninstalled Vista and Try XP as when i install Vista i don't even need to put in the driver cd and Wireless is working....

In your Start menu search type Device Manager. Open DM and look for your 802.11 Wireless LAN Card. Does it have a next to it? Double click it, what is the "Device status" listed on the "General" tab?

Go to the "Driver" tab and click "Update Driver..." Choose "Search automatically for updated driver software." If it says that you have the best drivers already installed, uninstall the driver from there and try to update again.

You can also install drivers from your recovery discs, or download them from the manufacturer's website.
