No, it will not handle a pentium4, but you could get a much faster p3 for it. and the ram amount doesnt depend on the processor type, it depends on the motherboard and os. and it looks like 256 is the maximum ram for that model.

Problem playing video on my ASUS Transformer.

Hi Sam, are you familiar with the "buffer bar" when playing videos? It is the part of the video timeline that extends beyond where you've watched so far and it shows how much of the show is preloaded and ready for you to watch. If that buffer bar (usually grey) is too small or right at where you've watched to, then it means that something in your set up isn't fast enough to keep up with the show.

it could mean that you need to let your video start, and then pause it for a while to let it load before starting to watch. It may mean that you need to clean up your computer that may be bogged down with junk. Try using CCleaner from Pirform downloadable on Cnet
(Product reviews and prices software downloads and tech news CNET).

It could mean that your computer is simply not fast enough to handle never videos with higher definition that require more power to load quickly. So, if cleaing your computer doesn't help, then you may need to upgrade your RAM. Use ctrl+alt+delete to open the task manager, and use this to check the processor and RAM loads. This may take some googling to figure out. Processors can be hard to nearly impossible to switch, but RAM is easy, but may cost $40-$80 depending on what you need. Here is a website to find reliable products called Crucial (Compatible upgrades Guaranteed). It botched the link name, but it works.

Good luck!

IS IT POSSIBLE TO WRITE A BOOK ON A DRAGON TOUCH A1X QUAD CORE A

Hello there
Given this tablet's quad core processor then the 1Gb of RAM and the 16Gb of storage, may be enough to write a book with an appropriate word processor package for Android, but you would probably be safer if you used a fairly large SD card (e 32Gb) to boost the storage, or to keep specifically for the book.
Hope this is helpful, if so would you please register that with Fixya
Cheers

At boot up it stops and gives me an "Extended Ram Module Fail" It recognizes the CD/DVD Player and a new harddrive with nothing on it.

see
http://www.computerhope.com/issues/ch000394.htm
This is most likely a RAM issue but it may be that your RAM slots on your motherboard have become defective. If the latter, you will need to replace the motherboard, which may mean buying a new computer if a motherboard cannot be found at a reasonable price (try ebay as well Panasonic and other computer dealers)
However you should start by finding out what RAM is in your computer which means opening it if it won't start.
see the reference manual which can be downloaded at http://www.panasonic.com/business/toughbook/computer-support-download-manuals.asp Go to p119 - there you will find a slightly more informative description of what the problem is likely to be (RAM module). I don't know where the RAM modules are situated in your particular model of CF29, you will need to find out. Remove all of them. (see ref manual on how to do this - it looks like the standard method for laptops). Replace one of them in the approved fashion: ensure that it fits well: usually it is easy to tell when this has happened - see other guides for upgrading laptop RAM modules or videos (you tube has many) for this stage if you do not understand the Panasonic ref manual - I found the IBM T40series guide at www.lenovo,com very easy to understand. Now try starting the computer. If it gives the same error, remove and the RAM module and try again. If this doesn't work try the other RAM slot if your computer has one with the same memory module. If that doesn't work repeat the process with the other RAM module [if the computer had one]. In this fashion you should be able to determine whether and which RAM module is defective or if it is one of the slots on the motherboard. If there is only one module and slot, you will need to try reinserting the RAM and if that doesn't work using another known good stick of RAM of the correct type (not all RAM sticks of seemingly the correct spec, will work though: best use a reputable brand). This will tell you whether it's likely to be the original RAM or the motherboard, or just that the RAM had become improperly seated.

While carrying these operations the computer should be powered down and have the battery removed. Observe anti static precautions and do not force anything.

Good luck

When I power it up nothing comes up on the monitor??

Hi,

1. check the RAM is seated
2. Try any other RAM
3. still the same problem check the video or graphics card , if any
4. if no graphics card and problem stiil changing it clear your CMOS by removing battery
5. if its new system then, remove battery, then take a small wire piece and short the positive and negative of the battery socket, then only CMOS is cleared
6. still problem , check the processor heat sink
7. still problem then suggesting checking motherboard and processor

Please post your feedback and Vote if the problem resolved as per your satisfaction.

I have a Stylistic 5032D, running Windows XP

You can also switch your power settings to performance,
Which wouldn't use the CPU's built in speed step.
Speed step lowers the CPU's clock speed when not in use.

But this also uses more battery since the CPU's continually running at full speed at all times.

Good Luck

I have a Stylistic 5032D, running Windows XP Tablet, SP3. 2Gb RAM and 1.20GHz processor. I'd like to prolong its life - can I upgrade the processor or anything else to increase power? Thanks, Steve

Sorry no.

The CPU can't be upgraded as its a Pentium M 753 Ultra Low Voltage/ULV CPU.

Which is soldered directly to the motherboard.
And the max ram is 2gb which you have.
You can try a faster hard drive if currently you have a 5400rpm buy a 7200rpm drive, but this always brings more heat, and heat means lower battery life/time.

Good Luck.

I am using HP Laptop compeq presario c301tu when on the notebook the power led always blinking but here no disply

Dear client! You should check your RAM change slot use other slot for RAM if you have. It is very possible your problem will be solved. If problem remaining same you should your VGA it might be possible that it could be out of order and it will being not worked. If your laptop does not give any beep it could be possible your motherboard problem presist. But I assure that RAM will be out of order or RAM's slot fault so first of all you check your RAM or RAM's slot.
Thank You

Fredrik,

I don't know if you still need this info as you've not posted back here since your initial post but I finally took pics of the actual adapter from my V1100 that you'll need to install a hard drive in your tablet. Hope this helps and sorry about it taking so long.

You can replace any motherboard, so long as your processor and memory are compatable and it fits into your case.
