That laptop have no to much space to get the air , and when the cpu get hotter , the cooler starts to go faster and than he make noise to much , watch the cooler , take off the dust , and take care of the cpu .
I have the very same problem, the Drive light turns red, the screen is "black" and the battery charging light indicator on the front is off. No differance if I'm traying to power up on battery or AC-adapter.
Before this problem appeared I had problems where the laptop was powering off, with no warning, and I had to restart it. This happened several times and was going on for about a week before it died totally. Can it be the CMOS battery on the mother board? Anyone having clue what the problem could be?
you might be having hard drive problems, press f2 and make sure the hard drive is showing up ok. if it is then press f8 when booting select safe mode. if it comes up fully then go to the start menu, help and support and select system restore. select a date 1 week prior to the problem.
It's either going to be a video memory error or base memory error. Either one requires replacing the motherboard, which more than likely wouldn't be worth the money. You should probably get your data backed up and buy a new computer.
