Question about Dryers
I bought a dryer from someone recently and when I hooked it up it will run for about 4 min and then shut off for about 6 min and then start up again for 4 and so on. The dryer is getting too hot and shutting itself off. There is nothing wrong with the dryer it's the vent hose that leads to the outside of the house. When the hose is on is when it gets too hot and shuts off but if you take the hose off it will run its full cycle. I have made sure that the hose is free of lint and the vent is clean also. I don't know if I need to make the vent on the outside of the house bigger to allow more air out but the air is getting backed up somehow, any ideas?
I would take and get a lint brush and clean the hose and I would also make sure you clean the pipe that is running on out side plus make sure the flap is opening up outside like it should .
