Do you see anything at all when you boot the machine even before you get to the login screen or the desktop?

When you say doesn't work. What do you mean exactly?

Can you still see the Windows Desktop?

HELLO THERE:
you can try to fix the desktop card by going to my computer and right clicking on it and goiing to properties.
next go to hardware and than to device manager.
next find your display adapter and click on it now it should show you your video card highlight your video card and rightclick on it
now select remove next confirm the removal of this item. now the computer will uninstall the device next look in the top of the device manager anbd you will see view now click on that and select scan for hardware changes
now the computer will reinstall the card for you .
you will get a message on the taskbar that new hardware has been found and is being installed once it has completed installation it will tell you
now jsut restart the computer and see if it works if now you will have to get a new card and open the case and insert the new video card in a empty pci slot or if it is a agp type catd use the slot that is at the top of all of the other slots normally they are not the same color and they are not the same size i would refer to your comoputer manufacture for help on selecting the right video card for you ok? i really hope that this has helped you with your problem i have made this about as simple as it can be
best regards michael

However Regardless Of The Situation Make Shure The Video Card You Use Is Compatable With The PC And Then Use The Video Card That Came With The PC Provided It Still Works Properley So That You Have A Signal On The Monotor And Then Boot It Up And Enter The Bios To Ajust The Settings For The Video Card You Want To Use ! See The Manuals For Both The Video Cards And The PC!

Computer restarts everytime i connect monitor to it

It sounds like the onboard video is failing. The computer should have a PCI Express x16 slot. You can get a basic graphics card to install into the machine for about $35 locally.

Hello, the problem seem to be related to the video card you're currently using, See if you have an integrated video card: a hint to find out is to see behind your computer if the monitor connection is on a side of the back panel is probable you have an incompatible integrated video system, you can solve this problem by buying and installing a compatible video card as any Nvidia or ATI card, Call an IT professional and ask for some advice on what card you should buy and install to make these problems disappear, also ask him/her to install it for you.

Have a nice day, and If you have any other questions you can come back and reply.

PD: If you still want to buy and install it yourself ask me again and I'll help you.

My nokia 2690 browser is not worked before 2 daysmall settings are ok..........wt can i doooooooo...... pls suggest me

Hi, issues like this are related to your Sim card (network),
not your Cell Phone .Since you said the phone settings are correct.
The problem is from the Service Operator. Have you tried the Sim card on another phone? If not,
remove the Sim card, insert it on another phone and try sending a message from another mobile to you number,
or you can do it in vise- versa by inserting another Sim card on your mobile.

You can call the customer care of your Network Operator and tell
them your problem, they will help you fix it immediately.

If the same Sim card doesn't browse using another handset,
don't bother to change the settings or to make any changes with it,
first call the customer care and verify from them, you may make mistakes instead of fixing it.

Hope that helps.

Thanks for using fixya.......

I have a dell 20" LCD monitor. But Presario S4000V doesn't fit for that monitor. Please let me know what can i do. Change "Video card"? thanks

Have you tried changing the Resolution settings to "Recommended"? If so, then you may have to purchase a newer Video Card. Look-up your motherboard 1st, then go by the Recommendations of the motherboards BRAND and Chipset of Video Cards. If you have nVidia Chipset, get GeForce or nVidia card, VIA, SiS work fine w/ these (nVidia Chipsets) Video Cards. But, if the motherboard is of Intel Manuf, you will want the ATI card. Get at least a 256MB Memory card(512MB is better) and read-up on the cards resolution to make sure it fits your screen size/dimensions. Good Luck. To find out your motherboard type/brand, dwnld. CPU-Z for free online. It will tell you about your CPU, Motherboard, Memory, and alot more.

Comp not reading montor

It sounds like the on board video has failed. I would try installing a video card on the motherboard. Then in the bios at start up, disable the on board video, so it will use the video card instead.

I hope this helps and thanks for using FixYa,

Monitor display is vertical instead of horizontal

What Video card are you using?

WIN XP
Right click Desktop>>>Graphics Options or
Right Click Desktop>>>Properties>>Settings>>>Advance

and change the rotation to NORMAL

For Intel Video card go to GRAPHICS Properties
For ATI Video card go to CATALYST
For NVIDIA Video card go to PHYSx

Won't boot

Thanks for you assistance guys. I neglected to mention that the new video card came with a new memory module that I installed soon after I installed the video card. Unfortunately, the memory module wasn't seated properly and created a short circuit. I removed the memory chip and now my computer works fine.

Hello again T-Bear, First off before we try the hard way lets try the easy way: -Hold the Crtl and Alt keys down. -While continuing to hold them down press the Up arrow key once. If that doesn?t work -Go to Start, Settings, Control Panel -Find the System Icon and double left click on it. -Click on the Hardware tab. -Click on the Device Manager button. -In the Device Manager box that appears find the icon labeled Display adapters and click on the + symbol to the left of it. -Below that you will find at least one object, highlight it by left clicking on it once then right click on it and select properties. -Click on the General tab and the top line will tell you the name of the card and in parentheses, the name of the driver manufacturer. I need this info. Let us know how it goes and please don?t forget to rate this post.
