Ive had my ihome for about 1 year. Just the other day, I noticed that the display went darker than normal. I could see the time and it charged my ipod. The unit wouldn't respond to any of the buttons. The ihome website said to reset the unit by taking the batteries out and unplug it for 1 hour. Well that didn't work. Anybody else have any good Ideas?

Hey I figured it out. When you bought the 4th generation ipod nano it came with it's own dock insert. It fits perfectly and fixes everything, including the remote issues. Now my only problem is I have a black ihome and a white insert :( Good luck!

Look at the Box and the Manual! 3rd Generation is not supported by iH9! Clearly marked on the Manual.

It's a new ipod, right? And your docking station must of been made before the new nano toke the stores. You need to get a new docking station.

My problem is that my iHome is also charging the iPod, but none of the buttons on the back two rows (radio, iPod, radio presets, eq, or sleep) will respond, nor will the front line button for display brightness work either. Now for the really strange thing....all of the alarm settings work and when tripped the alarm is simply the beep, beep setting, but the snooze line button in the front will work for the snooze option! Now that is bizarre!
