Option 1 (Internal Memory):

  • Connect the GPS to your computer with a supplied USB cable
  • For Windows, go to My Computer and find the connected drive (Removable Disk), when you open this disk you should see MobileNavigator folder
  • From the root of this drive, you can create 3 folders: Photos, Music, Videos and copy your media files respectively
  • Safely Remove Hardware the connected unit and unplug
  • Select your player/viewer (Photos, Music, Videos)
  • By default the internal memory (a can shape icon) is selected
  • Now enjoy your media
Option 2 (SD Card):
  • Assume your computer has a SD card reader
  • Insert the SD card to your computer
  • From the root of this drive, you can create 3 folders: Photos, Music, Videos and copy your media files respectively
  • Insert the card to the Sanyo GPS
  • Select your player/viewer (Photos, Music, Videos)
  • Tab the internal memory option (a can shape) to change to SD card option (sd card shape) to access files on SD card
  • Now enjoy your media

As long as you did not delete any of the Sanyo files MioPocket should not interfere with the original software.

MioPocket 2.0 R44 and higher will full fill your need. If you need to boot from SD card (support up to 32GB SDHC), then you need this file http://www.gpspassion.com/upload2/Sanyo_NVM-4370_Autorun_files.zip

Lost maps by updating

Unit comes with pre-loaded maps. Why update? Maps on DVD is the same copy as it's on the unit.

If you have troubles make sure you're not in Navigation mode when running the update. Update does not like files still in use.

My sanyo nvm 4370 video option say no video player installed

This unit only supports MPEG4/H.264 file. The files format has to be .MP4. This unit cannot play all MPEG4/H.264 movie files. Most movies out there are converted using DivX or XviD codec so if you need to convert them to this supported format. It will mostly cost you time if you found a free converter.

If you don't have time. You might try my basic hack to add a 3rd party media player that will play almost everything out there and it also supports sub-titles. You can check out my video on YT @ http://www.youtube.com/KhaKev.
