The rings on the piston are passing too much oil/gas mixture due to the lost compression. Or, you have incorrectly mixed the oil and gas, if it uses a mixed fuel.

Oil leak at the back

do you have an automatic oiler, or do you need to premix your fuel? if it is an automatic oiler, and I assume it is since that is the only oil involved in any trimmer I have ever owned, then I would say you have lost your supply line for the two stroke mix, this can be easly solved in a couple of ways, empty out the reservoir, and start to premix your fuel 40:1 would be fine, or you can fined the oil line and reatach it,

Oil runs back out of the carburetor air filter intake if I fill to oil level indicator on no oil gas mix engine. Anything wrong or am I just over filling the oil?

My edger tipped over briefly, now the starter cord is hard to pull and it won't start.

Try removing the spark plug and squirting some carb cleaner or starting fluid in the cylinder. Pull the starter cord several times for the piston to drive out the oil. Clean the plug and replace it. Try to start as normal. If you have starting fluid squirt a shot in the air cleaner to help make it easier to start the first time.

Tecumseh 3.5 oil seal on main shaft oil seal leaking

Once the oil seal starts to leak, there really is nothing that can be done to stop it short of actually replacing the oil seal. To do that involves disassembly of the engine itself. Sorry that I could not give you better news on this one.

Hi mistaloophol...

Sounds like you have dirt/debris in your carburetor jets or fuel passages.
Check/Clean/Replace your fuel filter if you have one, normally they are located in the fuel tank of weedeaters.
Also make sure you are using fresh fuel...and oil mix if your using a two cycle mower or weedeater with the oil to the right mixture and not too much oil as it can cause hard starting.
If the mower/weedeater is over a year old, then I recommend that you buy and install a new carburetor repair kit, because the diaphragm will get hard and that will cause it to be hard to crank.
Sounds like you will need to clean the carburetor or replace your carburetor internal rubber parts like the diaphgram and O rings.
I recommend that you use a laquer thinner type cleaner to clean and dissolve the laquer build-up in the float and needle jet passages.
Be sure to remove all plastic and rubber parts before using the laquer thinner because it can dissolve the plastic parts and render them unuseable.
Be sure to use compressed air to blow out all the fuel and air passages.
Be careful when blowing out the passages, because there are sometimes small rubber type seats in the bottom of some of the passages.
Sometimes you can get by with priming the carburetor or using starting fluid and letting it run a few times like that and it will flush the gunk out of the jets, but most of the time you will need to rebuild the carburetor.
Keep in mind that the float for the carburetor must be level when you go to reassemble the carburetor or follow the instructions you get with the carburetor kit.
When you clean your carburetor and remove the jet screws, you will first need to lightly seat the jet screws.
But before you lightly seat the jet screws count the number of turns it takes to seat the jet screws from their original position.
Be sure to mark the turns down on a piece of paper.
That way when you put the jets back in, you know to lightly seat them first and then turn them back out to their orginal position before you started.
Once you have your carburetor rebuilt that should solve your problem.

I need to change oil in my yard man lawn mower. Where is the drain plug? I need to change the oil

Hi, you drain it out of the dipstick filler hole by tipping the mower to that side. Remove the sparkplug cap first as a safety precaution. Hope this helps, regards Phil.

HOMELITE EXPAND IT 26VT WON'T RUN

Well if you are missing parts?...No. How could anyone from where we sit. But the fact that it starts with starting fluid is a great sign however. First off, Fresh gas/oil mix is A MUST! No getting around that. OK first, when you pull the throttle (Give 'er gas) does the little lever at the carburetor move back and forth at all? if yes, then what happens when you hit the primer bulb? Does it push/**** fuel from the tank? (My homelite spits fuel out to the ground when I prime the bulb, most spit it back to the fuel tank however) See if priming it moves fuel. You should see a trail of bubbles in the fuel tubing. You have to see if you are getting fuel at all first. Then does it maintain the prime? If not? Then the primer bulb will usually remain empty. A good prime should always show a half full or 100% full bulb at all times. Let me know what we got so far.

My toro 6.5 mower will not start. I unlock the mower and pull the cord and it moves about a 1/2 inch and then does not turn over. What do I do? I am not the handiest person in the world

check that the blade can turn around free if not then remove weed/string/wire stopping it -
If the blade can turn free then unbolt head and lossen lock nut on the pull wheel(do not remove) spay with oil - bolt back on & off you should go.
