Question about Jenn-Air JEC9530 Electric Cooktop
This coulb be either the switch or the burner. Either can be tested with an ohmmeter if you can read the wiring diagram. Hope this helps!

I've replaced the switch on my cooktop four times. The last time, I replaced the element also and I haven't had any issues...so far!
