Unless the power cord is loose, it sounds like the unit is defective. There are two places to check the power cord. The 'brick' has to be firmly inserted into the back of the printer and the cord has to be properly fitting into the brick. If all is well there, it sounds like something more drastic is wrong.

Printer wont turn on

Try to unplug the power adapter at the back of the printer and check if the LED light is on. If not, try to plug in the power cord to another power outlet. If still the same problem, the power adapter is the culprit.

If the LED light is on, make sure to plug in the power adapter all the way in the printer.

Check the power jack to see if lights-up blue when the power plug is inserted. If it's not blue, then you're not getting a good connection.

Tv wont turn on but acts like it is

either a relay or power supply or high voltage transformer is bad. You can test any of these with an ohmmeter and a voltmeter or better yet a multi-meter. Then if low or no resistance, it is bad.

Hp d5160 printer wont switch on cables are ok

If your sure that your power module is good and the printer isn't turning on, then make sure at least you have the printer hooked up to a wall outlet that is working properly, this is just to be sure that the outlet isnt bad.

If you do that and the printer won't turn on then the power board in the printer is bad and you would have to get another printer.

My lexmark x8350 wont turn on. I'v disconnected

first i recommend, unplug the printer cord at outlet, then unplug cord from printer. plug the cord back in to the printer and make sure you get it in all the way. maybe wiggle as you push. now plug the cord into an outlet that has other devices that work. see if the printer power light is lit, if not, press power button. if it still doesn't come on then check fuse inside or contact a repair shop for diagnosis or buy a new one, whichever is best for you. i hope i have helped you so have a great day and please rate bama46, thank you

I own a photosmart c4100 all in one series and it wont turn on. i tried different plug outlets but still nothing. when i lift the lid for the scanner the blue light is on so i know it is getting power but...

Sounds like a bad logic board. If it is in warranty HP does whole unit exchanges. You can contact them at 800HPINVENT. You can still exchange it if it is not but usually cost of the replacement is more than the original cost.

Post means if you see the dell logo, remove the battery, plug the ac if still it wont turn on or doesnt have any light,Reseat the Memory if after reseatting the memory still the same problem it might be a bad motherboard.
