On the front of your cdrom by the power button there is a small hole. Take a paperclip straighten it out slide it in that hole directly in the center and push slightly don't force the door will open when you push on the release button with the paperclip.

i had the same problem i solved mine by using a knife and using the tip of the blade to push up and pull out on the drive while it tries to open and drive opened with out a hitch.. it turned out to be a gear problem with the drive.
