Question about HP Officejet 5610 All-In-One InkJet Printer

Hp officejet 5610 All-in-one Window shows Cartridge error.

We had refilled cartridges installed (bought at a refill store) they worked fine for a while before the problem occured. We took these cartidges back and were given new ones. Still Window shows Cartridge error. We tryed the unplug...press 3 and # at same time thing but it did nothing. I suggested buying Brand New Cartridges thinking that the refilled ones don't work but we don't want to waste my money if the machine is broken...Any suggestions?

Try cleaning the contacts on the cartridge carrier with a wet towel

Regarding your HP Officjet Pro 8600 printer and refilled HP 950/951 ink cartridges and the "low ink" messages. Depending on your ink refiller (or if you did it yourself?), a replacement chip may or may not have been installed with the recently refilled cartridge(s). Refer to picture on our support site to first determine which type of cartridge configuration you have, then refer to the applicable section to address the current cartridge error(s) or printer issues.

use only new cartidge. Its the best thing you can do if you want your printer work fine with no trouble.

Error: Remove and replace color cartridge


Because the software inside the cartridge was not reset. They do not have the electronic equiptment to do that.  I believe you woudl have to refill the ink before you got the empty mesasage?
