Need new code to get on internet

Haha, are you talking about the neighbor's internet password? Try asking them for it, otherwise it is illegal to steal their internet. ;) As far as I know the PSP slim 2000 doesn't have any other network capabilities besides WIFI.

How do I change the pin number on my PSP? I have forgotten what I used :-)

Forgetting your PlayStation Portable password can be frustrating; it can limit how much you can do with your PSP device and disallow you to make changes to your settings. Here are some tips to changing your PSP password so that you can remember it and enjoy your PSP to its full extent.

1. To change your PSP password, you must first restore the default settings of your PSP.

2. From your welcome screen, choose "Settings." Under settings, choose "Restore Default Settings."

3.When you choose to restore the default settings, your password will be set back to the default password, which is 0000.

4. Return to the "Settings," and choose "Change Password." If you remembered your old password, you could enter it now, but if you've restored the default settings, enter in 0000 when the PSP prompts for your password.

5. You now have access to change your password to anything you'd like. Enter your chosen numbers and save them.

I hope you find it very helpful.

My psp keeps saying that a connection error has occured and that the connection to the accespoint timed out. what do i do?

Most likely this is a security issue. Be sure that you are inputting the router password in correctly and are choosing the correct security. If you believe you are and still can't get connected, try logging into the administration console on the router and disabling the security password and try connecting with your PSP again. If it works, it's definitely an issue with the security on your PSP.
If it still doesn't work then the problem lies elsewhere. Is Mac filtering enabled on the router per chance? You may have to call Sony support at 1800mysony for help. When you call tell them that you have already explored the router security avenue because that will be the first thing they have you try.

I hope this helps! If this did help you, please give a thumbs up!

My grandson changed his password & has forgotten it. It won't work. How can he restore his password? Or is this due to the network being down?

It probably has nothing to do with the network being down, and to restore the password your going to need to contact sony.

How to install a game

There are two ways to install games on your Sony PSP (Play Station Portable).

The legit way is to buy original UMDs and insert them in your PSP and game on.

For the not-so-affluent, you can install Custom Firmware (CFW) on your PSP and thendownload games off the internet and copy them to your PSP and play them.
Play ISO / CSO Games on your PSP

-

1. Install Custom Firmware:

- There are scores of tutorials on the net on how to do this. The easier way out would be to go to any console shop, and get your PSP modded with CFW for around Rs. 200 / $5.

- A detailed tutorial on this coming up soon.

2. Download the Game ISO / CSO.

- Next, search for the game you want, and download the ISO / CSO of the game from torrent sites or any warez forums. Most of the times, the ISO / CSO is compressed into a RAR file so you will need to extract it first using WINRAR.

3. Copy the ISO / CSO to your PSP

- Connect the PSP to your computer using the data cable and goto Settings > USB Connection.

- Open your PSP drive in My Computer, and goto the ISO folder. If it isn't there already, create a new folder and rename it to ISO.

- Copy your ISO or CSO files to the ISO folder and disconnect your PSP from the computer.

4. Play the Game on your PSP

- Goto the GAME icon > Memory Stick and select the Game you just copied. Press 'X' and game on. icon_biggrin.gif

Note:
1. You need to have CFW (Custom Firmware) installed in order to use ISO / CSO games on your PSP. The latest version of CFW is 5.00 M33-4.
2. The latest PSP 2004 with TA 088 v3 chips and the PSP 3000 aren't moddable yet.
