I have a Kenmore HE4 front load washer that keeps giving a code of F06, apparently there are several items that may be linked to this code (not in manual). From what I have read the main culprit seems to be a hub where all the connections come together that control the machine, especially the drum motor. It says to either check all connections for loose wire plus and/or check wire plug metal prongs for corrosion, clean if found, and then reconnect. I prefer to repair myself to save money...do you know where I might be able to find a copy of the design drawing for this washer showing where all the parts are located inside?
"F06" is a Motor Speed error code. The following link explains:

First of all, with any error code you get on these washers, they can be erroneous. Unplug the unit for AT LEAST 30 minutes, first, in an attempt to reset the Central Control Unit (CCU). If the error code returns following a reset, then you have a genuine problem.
Double check all your wiring harness connections to the Drive Motor and Motor Control Unit (MCU), next. Sometimes these connectors can either vibrate loose, or develop some corrosion. Inspect them and clean if necessary. Double check the continuity of the harness wiring from the MCU to the Drive Motor.
Check the resistance of the motor windings. Instructions provided in the link.
Verify the proper voltage readings at the MCU.
There should be a tech sheet affixed to the inside of the washer cabinet that lists all the components and what all your measurements should read. To acccess all the components for troubleshooting, remove the back panel of the washer.
If you have problems or require additional assistance, please let me know. I hope this helps you.

I just replaced the MCU and found that the top of the two large capacitores on the unit had domed, instead of being perfectly flat. I have an electronics background, so I know thats not normal. Just one more thing to look at if your trying to determine if the problem is the motor or the MCU. If the motor ohms out good, I would take a look at those caps..
