IE7 Gets real slow.

Just had to nuke my system and start over. Now, IE7 after about 15-30 minutes on the internet gets real slow and gets to the point of telling me all the web sites I try going to are unavailable. I have Vista Premium 32bit.

If I use this patch that djmadrik suggested, would that open me up for more virus activity? I have a router w/firewall, AVG, and Zone Alarm.

I'm not sure about the patch he suggested. I've never used it myself so I can't so for sure.

What I recommend is you trying Firefox first. That way we can narrow down what is or isn't causing your problem.

You can get firefox @

What you can do is this,

go to your IE7 Browser then tools > internet options

then you need to delete all your browsing history, cookies, etc.

or turn off your phishing filter.

better try installing other browser (e.g. opera or firefox) to see if you encounter the same problem. If it does, you either you have a virus problem or on the DNS / DHCP Settings.

This is a possibility of a virus or a modified DNS settings. You can check your gateway and ping it into the command prompt. If it pings websites, then it is a virus problem. You need to scan it
