No electric start

I have replaced the battery,checked the inline fuse. all is fine.and still no power to the lights,horn,or turn signal. can someone please help me figure this out

12 volt lights not running on shore power ,just running off battery. but 120 outlets working fine.


check the fuse for the 12 volt system. Check wiring for the 12 volt side of the transformer and check if you are getting 12 volt out of the transformer.

The refrigerator is not getting power. The plug checked out good as well as the fuses with the volt meter. It is a domestic rm 2652 camper refrigerator.


If all the electrical components are fine then it has to be the motor for the refrigerator. It may be seized or burnt out...therefore it will not work and will need to be replaced.

Slide out will not slide it is out but will not slide in, Battery is fully charge & electric is on. Any suggestions? 1998 Fleetwood Mallard 26' travel trailer


GO TO THE ELECTRICAL PANEL WHERE THE CIRCUIT BREAKERS ARE,ON MOST MODELS, THE DC INVERTER (12VOLT) IS BUILT TO THE AC (120 VOLT)BREAKER BOX.CHECK THE FUSES ON THE DC INVERTER SIDE(SHOULD LOOK LIKE AUTOMOTIVE FUSES) IF FUSES ARE GOOD,CHECK FOR PROBLEMS AT THE TRAVEL LIMIT SWITCH LOCATED SOMEWHERE AROUND THE TRACKS THAT THE SLIDE TRAVELS ON.SOMETIMES AFTER SITTING FOR A WHILE THE LIMIT SWITCH DO NOT MAKE PROPER CONTACT FROM AGE,USAGE, CORROSION,ECT.,EASY THING TO TRY IS MANUALLY MOVE THE ACTUATOR ON THE LIMIT SWITCH SEVERAL TIMES WITH YOUR HAND ,YOU SHOULD FEEL OR HEAR IT CLICK. THOUGH IT IS SELDOM THAT THE LIMIT SWITCH IS A PROBLEM,IF THE FUSES ARE ALL GOOD,THE ONLY THING LEFT IS THE SLIDE MOTOR WHICH CAN BE LOCATED UNDER THE TRAILER AROUND THE SLIDE TRACKS,UNPLUG THE WIRES,HAVE SOMEONE PUSH THE SWITCH WHILE SOMEONE CHECKS FOR VOLTAGE AT THE MOTOR,YOU SHOULD USE A TEST METER ABLE TO READ AND VERIFY 12 VOLTS DC.IF YOU HAVE 12 VOLTS DC WHEN BUTTON IS PUSHED,MOTOR MAY BE BAD,PLUG WIRES BACK TOGETHER,MOVE TO A SAFE PLACE AWAY FROM POTENTIAL PINCH POINTS AND PUSH THE BUTTON AGAIN.
THERE MAY BE A CHANCE OF BAD CONNECTION AT THE MOTOR PLUG.
I HOPE THIS IS NOT TOO CONFUSING,AND THE PROBLEM IS ONLY A FUSE BECAUSE A FUSE IS A MUCH SIMPLER,CHEAPER FIX.

My battery keeps draining in my starcraft travel trailer evry time i put a fully charge battery in the camper in less then 2hour the battery is dead and with nothing on and all the braker off


Hello,

Charge your battery, and connect it back to the travel trailer. Use a 12volt test light to make the connection between the cable and negative terminal on the battery.

If there is something drawing power, the light will turn on. Remove the fuses from the DC fuse block 1 at a time, make note of the current rating for each fuse position. When the light goes out, the last fuse you removed is where the culprit probably lies. Now that all the fuses are out, plug each one in, individually, and see when the light comes on. Look closely at the light. Some notorious items that are left on are the antenna booster for the TV, the radio (volume turned down), and lights in the storage compartment. Some fridges will have a small heating strip between the doors. This heat strip may not be turned off with the fridge switch unless it is put into storage mode.

2 hours on a freshly charged battery is signifiant. The average Group24 deep cycle battery, in good condition, has a capacity of approx. 100Amp Hours. Most are able to sustain a load of 20 amps for about 180 minutes, around 3 hours. To deplete the battery in 2 hours, is a very significant current draw.

There are only 3 things that can singly draw down the battery that quick.
1) Furnace - but you would hear this one running.
2) DC Cooling mode on the fridge. Silent battery killer.
3) The breakaway switch for the electric brakes. When the plunger is removed, full battery voltage is applied to the brake magnets. A dual axle trailer may have 4 magnets, at 8 amps each, gives you around 32amp current draw. If pulling the fuses doesn't yield a culprit, the break-away switch is probably it. Remove the plunger, and push it back in. Watch the light as you do so.

Otherwise, look at your trailer connector. If it has been contaminated with road grime and such, it can cause a partial short between the charge and ground terminals.

Hello,

It would be easiest, and best, if you were to upgrade the cars' trailer connector. The 4 way just supplies brake, parking, turnsignal, and a ground. The colors are the same on the 6 way, but 2 lines are added, usually for a electric brake controller and aux. circuit. Be careful about using the battery line (Red) on the 6 way connector unless you are also upgrading the white wire to a heavier gauge (at least the same size as red).

Green - Stop and Right Turn Signal (4/5/6/7 way)
Yellow - Stop and Left Turn Signal (4/5/6/7 way)
Brown - Running Lights (tail, side, tag) (4/5/6/7 way)
White - Ground / Negative (4/5/6/7)
Blue - Electric Brakes (5/6/7 way)
Red - Aux. charge line for emergency break away, battery charger, etc. (7 way)
Purple - Aux. backup lights / other purpose (7 way)

I bet that it is an simple as a fuse that blown out. Try replacing the corresponding fuses.

1999 polaris 500 sportsman, my atv starts easily and runs great,it has a new battery in it and the lights all work.what won't work is the electric start,and the warn winch.any ideas or answers,thanks,ken


Both are fed right from the battery. Check all main battery wires and fuses. Ground wire too. pull on wires going into connectors and terminal lugs for tightness. Follow main battery wire to starter solenoid and and winch, fully inspect where they go and find a common link, that's where you will find the problem.

sounds like one leg does not have power. Could have a bad plug.
