Question about HP LaserJet 2300L Printer

Unable to store job at printer, printer not configured to collate

I am not trying to collate, just print multiple copies of a sign created in Print Shop. I have printed multiple copies on this printer from Print Shop in the past. Now it says I need to configure a RAM disk or install a hard disk if supported. Please help me to print more than one copy of this sign at a time.

Thanks a bunch. This fix worked! I've had this exact same problem with my HP 2300 for about 3 weeks now and haven't been able to resolve it. Again, thanks for your help.

This solution worked for a LaserJet 4050 on a PC that had just transitioned from Windows XP to Windows 7.

Hi

Thanks for your question at Fixya,

Please find the solution to your problem as follows :-

If you are using Microsoft Windows 2000 and XP etc.. Then you need to follow the below procedure,
  1. From control panel choose Printers and Faxes,
  2. The then right click on the printer icon and select properties,
  3. In the Device Settings tab you need to make sure that the 'mopier mode' is disabled.
  4. Multiple copies will print without moping in addition to this make sure that that 'Job Storage' is disabled.
  5. Then go ahead and close the printers window and then try to execute the print command again.

How can i print multiple copies of the same document with 3 pages and have the printer staple the copies in the correct groups?

In the print driver you should have the option to collate, you need to make sure that that option is on, and when you go to send the print job, you need to make sure that you adjust the finishing options in the driver to tell it to staple.

Why do multiple copies sometimes staple together as one set instead of multiple sets?

I don't know how/why, but if you set the Print settings (main print screen) to non-collate and the Printer Properties (clicking in to get to the staple option) to collate, it works correctly, stapling each set individually.

How do you copy a packet with multiple pages and print multiple copies of it while keeping each printed packet together and in order just like the original?

Unless you have an office type printer with a collator, then you can't with a inexpensive inkjet printer.
You have to print the same document over and over again.
Otherwise you print the number of copies you require and sort the pages later.

under print settings make you have "collate" option checked. There are different ways to find this depending on which operating system you are using.

Print error job storage

The printer needs to have RAM drive off, mopier mode disabled. Also the device settings for the printer needs to have Printer Hard Disk set to not installed and job storage and mopier mode set to disabled.

KONICA MINOLTA C450 VXL Printer - When stapling multiple copies it staples all the copies together rather than each one separately as required. I use vista operating system.

There is an issue with the Konica Print Driver and the MS Print Driver. If Collate is turned on in both the drivers, you will get this problem.

The solution is to turn off Collate on one of the Drivers. Usually you will have an initial Print Dialog window that pops up when you can select your printer, how many copies and if to collate or not. De-select Collate. Then you should also see Preferences Tab. If you select that tab, select Collate and Staple, your print jobs should now Collate and Staple correctly.

Will not print multiple collated two sided publications without individually sending each job

I would try changing the driver you are using. There are multiple drivers and it really sounds like that will resolve your problem.
For the drivers go to Xerox.com.
on the tool bar select Support and Drivers.
Then enter your printer number, being phaser enter phaser 7300 in the search .
Select your operating system and there will be PS and PCL drivers.
I am 99.9 percent sure the issue is in the driver.

Using Job Accounting with Excel

Try unticking the collate box on the print window. this can cause 50 jobs to be sent rather than 50 copies of the same job.
