Sounds like a software related problem. Easiest approach would be to back up any valuable files and restore to original factory setup. You may need to purchase an external USB optical drive to reload the Operating System. If this does solve your issue then you may want to consult a local trusted pc repair shop so they can run hardware testing. Unless you have a warranty, with Acer you have a one year MFG. Warranty from the original purchase date.
