No water supply when you start a cycle

When you start a cycle there is no water supply to the unit. I looked at the fill assembly and it would hum but no water. I tested the leads on the harness side and had 120v coming from the harness side to the fill assembly side. The water supply was on and working from the source. I took the fill assembly off and attempted to jump it. It did not work but I sparked it slightly also. Is it a safe bet to say that if you had power to the assembly but no water flow that I can just replace the fill assembly? Thanks

Water and Power going to the dishwasher and the panel lights come on but no response. The only thing that works is the drain cycle.

So long as you are sure you have 120v to the fill valve, and you have water going to the dishwasher, it is then safe to say you need to change the fill valve.
This should be the one you need.

Front load washer spins and rinses but won't wash!

The pump could either be broken or clogged for your washing machine.Or the drain hose is broken or clogged or the switch assembly is not working anymore. A person that fixes washing machines would need to take a look and see what the problem is.

My dishwasher starts the cycle, then stops leaving water in the bottom. How do I correct this?

Make sure there is voltage to the pump and motor assembly... if it doesn't wash at all it may not be filled with hot enough water to start the cycle either- so try it on regular temp cycle with no heat and see if it is responsive... run the tap water next to the unit until it is as hot as your supply can provide

Crosley washer won't agitate

Hello Carroll Mcknight - Is the washer making a humming noise? If so, either the drainage hose/pump is clogged and needs to be cleaned. If not, the unit may possibly be experiencing an issue with the door lock assembly, faulty pump, timer or control board not communicating correctly. Contact a professional to assist with the repairs and to move forward accurately.

My kenmore diswasher model#363.153221100 when i start the wash cycle starts to fill up with water but then drains the water back out immediately and the wash cycle never starts.

Hello & Welcome to FixYa

This problem is caused when the motor goes bad and needs replacement. The control will fill water and then sends signal to the motor to start a cycle, if it won't work then it will drain the water and so won't start the cycle. However, it can also be a bad door latch-lock assembly as if the control senses that the door is not closed it won't start the cycle. If you hear any humming buzzing sound from the bottom of the unit then replace the motor if not then replace the latch assembly. Please get back to me if you have any other questions.

Check your fill tubes remove the hoses and see if the filters are plugged, you are not hearing the motor humming. You are hearing the watervalve humming, the motor will not start until the tube is full of water.

But will start with hot.kenmore 70 wont start with the cold water

Hi, First thing you want to do is start the cold sysle and listen for a faint hum. If there is a hum, turn supply valve off and remove fill hose.
Look inside the valve on the washer and see if something is plugging the screen. If the screen is plugged flush it out (do not remove the screen.
If the screen is not plugged, and there was no hum when washer was trying to fill with cold water, you will need to change the inlet mixer valve.
Please let me know if this has helped or if I can assisst you further.

Thanks

Machine stops at rinse cycle and hums

check the setting of the water temp for the rinse cycle. If one of your water supply valves is closed (HOT/COLD) the tub cannot fill with the proper water temp selected. The hum noise you are reporting is associated with the fill solenoid valve located in back of the machine.
Also, I have found the problem to be the screen located in the fill valve clogged with rust and water deposites. Disconnect both water lines and verify the water supply is not restricted.
Hope this helps..
If not, a more thural description of the problem may reveal more clues to assist in troubleshooting.
Thanks and good luck...

GE washing machine does not run, gives humming noise

A washing machine is a simple product.

When trouble shooting anything you have to know what is supposed to do and what is it not doing.

At the begining of a washing machine cycle the machine fills with water until a switch is made telling the machine it is full and ready to agitate. Since it never fills it will stick in that part of the cycle.

When you start a cycle and no water enters the drum you have one of three problems:

1. The water supply is shut off.
2. The solenoid valve that supplies the water is not opening.
3. No power to the washing machine.

Since you are hearing a hum, the machine seems to be trying to activate that valve,
The humming noise comes from the electromagnetic field that activates the valve,

Washer hums on rinse cycle

It sounds as if you are using WARM water for the wash cycle since your complaint begins with the rinse cycle. The rinse cycle generally uses COLD water, so I must deduce that your washer is not filling up for the rinse cycle. The humming sound is likely coming from the fill valve being starved for cold water.
Investigate your cold water supply to the washer and if you have good supply, you may want to replace the fill valve.

Let me know what you find...Thanks for contacting FIXYA.com
