DFI NF4 INFINITY MOTHERBOARD NON BOOT

Hi, I have a DFI NF4 INFINITY MOTHERBOARD. When i turn the computer on it gives me the beep and everything appears to light up on the motherboard but it seems to stall at the infinity screen before it even reaches the part where it reads that all the hardware is there and working. Do you know what could be wrong?
This was working fine then shutdown and hasn't booted up since.
Any help would be appreciated.

Could be the Hard drive or memory. Sounds as though it is reaching post. But dies after that, I would check both. I have seen both be the problem on other systems.

Sounds like a hardware problem. try unplugging all external devices including keyboard and mouse but not monitor. test if it works. if not, open the side of the case and remove the little battery found on the flat motherboard for 30 seconds. then slide it back into place. now try to see if it works. if still nothing, check to see if there are motherboard jumpers (they will be 2 tiny pins on the board with a clamp over the top of them, you probably wont find them), if you see the jumpers, move the clamp to the spot that says "clear cmos" then put it back. or if your motherboard has a clear cmos button on the board, press it and try the computer. if it still will not boot, it could either be the flat IDE cable (for a hard drive or cd drive) or the power supply which means you will need to purchase either a new power supply or ide cable. if all still fails, i would say the motherboard is shot.

Hi,
If you know all drivers are installed correctly and you still can't get onto the internet, then
I think you may have corrupt winsock files. Contact your ISP . They should be able to help you.

When your computer continuos beeping the problem is the RAM you need to open the CPU casing and check the remove the RAM clean the dust then after that, reinsert the RAM to the socket, then turn on your computer. "good luck".

DFI Infinity NF4 SLI won't start

Hi steve, PC repair is trial & error. I suggest you replace the power supply or test the power supply in another PC that also uses 4 SATA drives & two PCI-E slots for starters. Two boards with the same problem is odd. You must have the CPU & fan connected, memory installed, ATA 24_pin main power plugg connected (Page 17 in manual). 4-pin_12v power connected which is located (Just to the left of DDR1 memory slot). Looking at you're board the power supply should be no less than 500w.
CPU must have thermal grease between CPU & heat sink.
Even though you have fans running & LED's on & flashing, the power supply seems to be the first item to check. Make sure the bottom of the motherboard is not touching the PC case.
Try the above & post you're finding here.

Good Luck!
Mike

DFI nF4 Infinity problem!!! plz help

are the fans running - sounds like a PSU problem to me do you have a mutlimeter you can measure the voltage from the PSU - the motherboard website should have a manual, with pinouts and voltages.
