Problem with FileIO

By man1 - usenet poster

Hi All.

In Director exists the command "mapchar()" like Authorware.

My problem is: the linked txt appears right in windows but the file
(created in windows) that I reads with Macintosh appears demaged (char
like "??" ; "??" ;"??" ;"??"... became like a square!).

With Authorware I used "mapchar(1)" , but I don't find the solution with
Director!!!. Ther's anyone that can help me!!!

Thanks in advance,
Matteo

look at fontmap.txt delivered in your Dir folder, and all what's related to
it in help file and macromedia's technotes : it can be set/saved in the
movie properties.
