Question about Lexmark Wheelwriter 30 Series II Typewriter

Typewriter only beeps and lights blink. Nothing else.

All we did was unplug the typewriter and move it from 1 desk to another and now when we turn it on, it beeps 6 times and the 1 and 2 space lights are blinking. I can't understand why it just all of the sudden stopped working! Please help! It's an IBM Personal Wheelwriter 2 by Lexmark.

It probably needs a keyboard rebuilt, contact George Beyers Co. 1-800-392-8085.

Wheelwriter 1000 beeps when I try to type!

Could be a few things, board, power supply, keyboard or printer.
But there are some things you can check, remove the printwheel and look for debris in that area, unplug and replug the keyboard, if you are really adventurious remove the cover and keyboard and look for paper clips or staples on or under the pc board.

When I turn on my wheelwriter 1000 it beeps 5 times then the #1 and #2 line space lights blink. The keys are frozen as if the typewriter is on off mode. I powered the machine down and unplugged it and...

First be sure the printwheel is installed properly, and look for debris in that area. Put some light oil on the silver shaft that the carrier slides on (WD40 is good).

Machine beeps, no movement, monitor missing, tried turn on off.

Remove the batteries and unplug for 30 seconds plug in and test. Unpluging and removing the batteries causes it to reset to defalt settings.

Beeping and keys don't work

When you power up what happens? What lights are lit, are thy flashing, are there beebs and how many? These are error codes and are important.

No start up

If your WW3 has batteries it must have spell check or printer options there is a small door on the top right of the machine.

open the door and unplug the plug you find there and try it.

Beeps 6 times, lights blink

The prinwheel sensor is likely the issue.  Move the carrier to the right, on the left side of th carrier toward the rear of the machine there should be a small black "flag" sticking out of the carrier.  this should move freely in and out if it is not there or does not move the machine cannot detect the printwheel the sensor will need to be replaced.
You ca also check for debri down in the area where the printwheel sits.
