Switching from Comcast to Dish Net and back again

We have DishNet and took the Cable with a package in order to get hi speed internet. The Tech showed us on the clicker how to get the comcast Cable on and then how to get back to Satellite but....we need an 8 yo to help us. So, what button do we push to view comcast Cable and then how do we get back to DishNet satellite?

Thanks soooo much!

There should be a location button on the television remote. If you're not talking about a remote, you probably have an A B switch.

Olevia channel setup

With the remote of dish you will control the dish box. The tv control is only necesary to set the signal on channel 3 or Aux to get the signal from the dish box.

Now Your main remote will be dish remote control. Set your tv on channel 3, then turn on the dish box, and use normally.

you usually cant go directly from the dishnet sat antenna to the tv without convert (dish box) i would try put it in the cable port and run from the menu options channel scan. do tht as well with the antenna port.

I am trying to connect my Panasonic up with net flix do I need to literally hook up an ethernet cable to it. I have it hooked into my comcast DVR with a HDMI cable.

Yes unless your TV supports a wireless internet connection. You will need to connect it to your modem/router in some way in order to get netflix.

Good luck,

I just purchased a Sony Bravia 52" 1080 HD 120 Hz flat panel and upgraded my comcast service to HD as well. At times, the "last" button will not work to switch to the previous channel or if it does, it...

If this is still problematic ask Comcast to service the problem and request one of the older, larger, silver HD with HDMI capable boxes. The other option is to use the component cable with the new boxes. I had the same problem and luckily a good technician who took his job seriously! I think I overheard him saying too that a DVR is an option as well, but you, if the technician doesn't offer, would have to state an argument for why you should not be charged extra for using one of those. Hope this helps? Nice to get to the root of problems! I'm keeping my fingers crossed because they had to order the older box. None were left in stock?

How to get hd picture through my insignia tv without digital cable

Unfortunately, at this time, you don't unless it is a powerful station local to you. In order to see which stations are available to you, you would enter the Setup menu of your tv, and then the section that allows you to scan for channels.
Also, digital cable alone doesn't guarantee you'll get HD signal. You would have to order an HD package from your cable or satellite provider. For example, Comcast touts their digital package as if it were vastly superior to the "standard" signal. Whether or not it is would be a matter of opinion, but the digital package is not HDTV. This misconception has disappointed many a subscriber, myself included (until I ordered the HD package). :^ )

Hdtv picture freeze

I also have a Brand new Sony Bravia 52" LCD with Comcast Cable (motorola box). When switching between HD Channels sometimes the left side of the screen shows a smushed version of the new channel, and the right side is a frozen picture of the previous channel. I correct this by switching to a non HD channel and back. Cable or TV problem I wonder?

No sound on NON HD channels

I had the exact same problem on a brand new Insignia 26 " LCD with DVD. Comcast tech was able to fix it by changing the Comcast box diagnostics. Here is what he did. Using the Comcast remote with the TV on - press power, cable, menu in that order. A comcast diagnostic srceen will appear. Select Additional HDMI options, then audio options. Change the audio options to L-PCM. Press power again to exit the diagnostics. That will fix it and you get to use the HDMI cable.
