you have to get a new printwheel, pull the black lever in front and to the right of the printwheel, pull ou the old P/W, insert the new P/W in the same position and push the lever forward untill it latches into place
This typewriter uses a "printwheel" In order to change tye typestyle (font) you must change (purchase) a different printwheel. To change the printwheel, pull the lever on the RH side of th print hammer towards the front of the machine and lift the clear plastic cartridge UP. .
