Cannot reboot unit after inserting new batteries

I have a Casio BOSS SF-4900L 128KB organizer. The batteries were dead for over a year. I replaced them and now when I turn it on, the screen reads: "Are you using a new unit for the first time? Yes/No" When I select "No" (because I've had this unit for YEARS), it tells me: "Data Error! Check your User's Guide for procedure!" I have NO IDEA where my user manual is...and the only option it is giving me is to clear the memory...NO WAY!! There is way too much info in there! HELP!!

THIS IS A CMOS PROBLEM AND THE BATTERY THAT KEEPS ALL THAT IMPORTANT INFORMATION STORE ON A CHIP IN THE MOTHERBOARD AND THE BOIS SETTING,
EVERY TIME YOU TURN THE MACHINE OFF IT DOESNT REMEMBER WHAT IT DID THE DAY BEFORE BECAUSE THE BIOS SETTING ARE CLEARING EVERYTIME YOU RESTART THE MACHINE.

Have a brand new TE-2200. The machine hung up in the middle of programming and would not allow a reset. I unplugged it from the wall and removed the backup batteries in an attempt to reboot. After...

Firstly, try this:
Turn key to PROGRAM mode Turn power off at wall Hold RECEIPT FEED down - keep holding it Turn power on at wall. Wait 10 seconds Let go of receipt feed. Press SUBTOTAL once
If display does not come on,
Turn power off at wall Turn key to REG mode Take one battery out. Wait at least an hour. Turn power back on at wall (you will now need to fully reprogram it at this stage)
If it is still dead, let me know

Sharp cash register (er-a470) won't turn on.

If the machine is dead, then you probably have a bad battery. It should be changed every 3 to 5 years by the dealer. If it has been left too long, then this is a common symptom and the machine loses all programming. Otherwise, you may have a faulty power supply or mode lock unit. It sounds like you need to see a dealer about it. ------------------------------------------------------------------------

Hi.
Most of the simple machines don't have a fuse. If it has gone completely dead, then the thermal protector inside the transformer is the likely cause. You could open it and check for a fuse. If it doesn't have one, or it is not blown, then you will probably need a new transformer, or the thermal link needs replacing.

Sorry I can't be of more help. If you have an appliance repair shop near you, then they may be able to do this sort of work on the power supply.

Remove the wall plug and the batteries at the same time, wait ten minutes, put the batteries back first and then plug it back in and turn the key to Reg, you should see a row of zeros across the display as the machine resets itself.
If this doesn't happen the machine is dead and that is very unusual for a Casio.
