If I were you I would just download the manual from Philips for nothing. I cannot give you a direct link because you do not specify the model number but you should be able to find it yourself easily. Just start from the beginning as if you just bought it. Start with Install and let the set do the rest. Watch the screen for any questions that may require an answer or an Enter command and that should do it.
Take in consideration that some cable companies moved some digital stations to a pay plan and you might not get them in HD. The digital stations you get after programming wil be it, unless you upgrade to a different plan.

sorry, it wont go away, bet ya got it cheap huh(nothing intended by cheap) but the tv hotel mode is telling you that its a special tuner made for just hotels, the only way to get around this is if you can replace the hotel type tuner on the main-board with a normal type tuner, it'll cost more than you paid though.good luck,a friend of mine bought 12 of then at $25 each, boy he thought what a deal, now he's really crying and they didn't tell him,and they won't refund his money

there is a help line number in back of code book and they will tell you codes for your tv...or do the auto search which should be in instructions for if you cant find your code in the list
