Hi all, am getting "E6909 SCSI Error:unknown error" message every 5 seconds
in the tape server log. Am running UW7 and Arcserve Open with most recent
patches on Compaq 3000, Compaq 4/8gb tape drive, with the tape drive on the
only device on the integrated dual-channel SCSI adapter, address of 6, hard
drives are on a raid controller. Any thoughts? Backup runs OK on auto
pilot but seems to lock up if the tape server log isn't dumped every day or
so. CA bounced me to SCO for support, who expects the distributor to support
it, no luck. Thanks, Alan

Thanks, good question. The answer is fairly lame, none that I've noted
during system setup (3 times through due to addition of RAID controller) or
the routine boot checks. In order to run the suite I'd have to run them at
VERY off hours (24x7 availability) now that we're live. I'll try to arrange
it though, hadn't thought that the system itself may be having an issue,
being spanking new and all. Alan
